Jesy was a wreck the next day.

Joe was staring at his sister in their car as they were both driven to school by their step-dad. They were nearing Jesy's school gate but he was not sure if she was even in the right frame of mind to attend classes. "What did you say was making you this twitchy Jesy?"

Jesy whipped her head away from the car window to look at her innocent little brother. "I explained it in great detail at breakfast Joseph. The world hates me. Didn't you watch the videos I sent you?"

Joe shook his head. "They were too long. I know that you sent the timestamps of where you're mentioned but I didn't have the time or the energy Jes." He scratched his head. "And why are so many people making videos about Leigh-Anne-"

"Because she's mega famous and who everybody wants to talk about!" Jesy raised her voice.

Janice and Andrew heard Jesy snapping in the backseat and they both sighed. She had been telling them all about how much the entire universe hated her guts this morning at breakfast but all Janice had told her was that she shouldn't pay attention to what strangers on the internet said and to put her phone down for the day. Jesy's phone was currently off and Janice was holding it until they brought her to school but it seemed that the girl was still thinking deeply about what people were saying. It seemed that Jesy never got a break . . . or perhaps, she never gave herself one.

"Jes what happened between you and Leigh-Anne outside of that food place is no one's business but the two of you. The people who happened to see pictures and decided to cast judgment are just bored with themselves. I mean it is true that you've been naughty over the past few years and you did indeed do wrong by Leigh based on what you told us but it's still not something people should be talking about." Janice said.

"Right. You apologized, Leigh-Anne forgave you and now you're trying to be better so that's all that matters." Andrew grew more and more concerned for Jesy as time went on. The girl was just always suffering from something.

"I know but they're calling me names! Did I tell you lot that somebody said I'm a whore? I don't have sex nearly as much as most people. Why would they say that?? Those angel fans are ruthless!" Jesy just could not deal.

Janice sighed as they slowed down in front of Jesy's school. "They were just looking for nasty things to say." She pulled out Jesy's phone from her bag and handed it to her. "Here but resist the urge to check out what people are saying about you as much as possible. I contacted your friend Ray Ray to keep an eye on you and he says that he and the others already have been."

Jesy frowned at this. "You have his number?"

"Got it from your phone." Janice instructed her to exit. "Now stop obsessing-"

"I wonder if Leigh's seen Teatus' video about how much of an entitled whiney brat she is." Jesy stopped worrying briefly once she remembered this.

"Teatus?" her family said together.

"Yeah. A YouTuber who covers all the tea. Last night he spilled the tea all over Leigh 'cause she made this video asking people to leave her dad alone. Said some bullshit about harassment coming with the spotlight and that she should get over it. Basically the same hogwash that the idiots from my school were saying. Wonder if one of them paid him a butt load of cash to make that video . . . that's probably it. Too bad though. His word is gospel on the net so Leigh might start getting hate." Jesy hopped out of the car and closed the door.

"Gospel?" Andrew was glad that he was not a teenager growing up in the era of the internet. "You think that somebody paid a YouTuber to make a video insulting Leigh-Anne?"

"That's what makes the most sense since most people would usually back off after someone tells them to." Jesy shrugged. "Anyway, later fam." She walked away even though they seemed to have several questions.
