Marcy stepped out of her office to go check on everyone in the house around eight. I've had so much to do these days but it's easing itself up little by little. She yawned as she started walking towards Sairah's room but she stopped. I wonder how their dad's doing. She had visited his room when she had just gotten home. Was he still carving in there? He had not finished anything but he had seemed focused on his work. Didn't wanna say what he was making but- Oh my f*cking God! Where was Leigh-Anne??
She checked her watch and ran with tears in her eyes to Sairah's space. "Sairah! Sairah did Leigh come home?? She didn't say anything! Where is she?!" She was knocking heavily on the door.
Sairah opened it with a frown. "What the hell Marcy?? You're being loud! Me and Jade are trying to make a video and you ruined it with your noise!"
"Hey don't raise your voice at me. I'm worried!" Marcy saw Jade staring in concern from in front of Sairah's computer. "Hi Jade." She said sadly.
Jade got up to come see what the commotion was about. "Everything alr-"
"Where's Leigh-Anne? Did she come say hi? No one said . . . she usually- Rachel and uh . . ." Marcy was worried. "Think she's extra late because of shooting or? Did she come by here??"
Sairah and Jade exchanged looks. "She didn't say anything- she didn't . . . did Rachel send a message saying they'd be late?" Sairah folded her arms.
Jade hoped that things were okay. "Would she usually do that?"
"Yeah she's really responsible." Marcy was calling Rachel.
Sairah was becoming worried as well. What if something happened?
"Uh-huh . . . yeah? . . . o-oh. Okay . . . no she didn't say anything. Okay thanks. I'll just go check on her right now." Marcy walked as fast as she could to Leigh's room.
"Hey!" Sairah called with open arms.
Marcy turned on her heel. "She came home but I guess he did so quietly? That's pretty unlike her but- go back to your game. I'll deal with this."
Sairah scratched her head but sighed. "Okay fine." She nodded at Jade to follow her in and she closed her door once more.
Marcy knocked gently on Leigh's door and awaited a response. Rachel had said that Leigh was feeling better when she brought her home but if the girl was okay why did she run to her room and lock herself in? Oh God. She really hoped that things weren't as bad as they seemed so far.
No one answered her knocks.
Marcy gulped. "Leigh I'm coming in but it's only 'cause I'm worried okay?"
There was still no response.
Marcy turned the knob and opened the door to a crack.
The lights were on and Leigh was laying in bed with her head resting on Kyro. Marcy could hear her sobbing.
The mother's heart broke immediately and she came inside fully, closing the door at her back. "Leigh-Anne?"
Leigh-Anne continued to weep quietly into her dog.
Kyro was panting but likely not because he was happy. He tried to turn himself to lick Leigh bot only caught her arm.
Marcy came to the bed as fast as she could and sat down. "Leigh? Baby? What's wrong?" Had someone harassed Leigh-Anne at work? Did she hurt herself? Was she having bad memories? What was wrong with Leigh?
Leigh-Anne cried a little bit more before looking up at Marcy with sad eyes leaking tears.
Marcy could cry herself. "What happened?"
