Jesy was watching a movie on her laptop in her bedroom rather than spending time with her family this Christmas Eve.
The movie was about a monster awakening in a child's basement- yes this child was a house owner- and murdering everything in its path. Typical horror movie with lots of death and gore.
Soon it's gonna be a new year. But what about this year? Had anything significant happened?
The special celebration she had with her friends at the amusement park came to mind and so did all of her other interactions with her them. She was back in and people loved her again because she was trying. And thanks to the meds. Who would have thought that a simple pill could help so much?
Jesy stared straight ahead rather than at her screen. I had a fight with Perrie. But that hadn't broken anything between them. They still acted normal on the group chat and when they met in person. Not that much meeting in person had been happening of late. Shouldn't have called her poison. Somehow Leigh-Anne always brought out the worst in her even when she was trying to be better.
If I google my name, pictures of me and her actually pop up. That was kind of cool wasn't it? She's like the biggest thing these days- wait! She paused her movie. "I forgot to ask if I could come to her movie premier."
Jesy whipped out her phone with a bland face and went to her Leigh contact. She's back home right? She didn't send no message but I think she said she'd be back by now. So now was Jesy's best chance to talk to her about this. Heard Perrie's going. Meh. Was she too late to ask? I might be. The premier's soon. She would ask Leigh anyway. Just out of curiosity.
Me: Hey Leigh. How you doing?
It was about nine p.m. She might be tired from work. Did she go to sleep already?
Jesy saw Leigh typing. Wow. She's got more energy than I do that's for sure.
Leigh: Hi Jesy. I'm good. Merry Christmas
Me: Lol. Usually you'd put a smiley face after a message like that. What's wrong?
Leigh: I just woke up five minutes ago from a really heavy nap. I'm still tired and I can hear colours. It's dark in my room but I see floating shapes. I didn't know it was possible to be this exhausted *emoji with hypnotized eyes*
Me: You've been up and down and all over for days now so I'd expect you to be tired. Poor thing
Me: So you're just gonna sleep all Christmas?
Leigh: Right now that's all I see myself doing. Lol
Leigh: I went ice skating earlier
Me: For real? Out in the open?
Leigh: yup
Me: You got mobbed and trampled?
Leigh: No. But there was crowding
Me: You're an idiot Leigh-Anne. You're all everyone's talking about right now. Of course you'd get surrounded if you went out *skull emoji*
Leigh: Don't call me an idiot you jerk. Lol
Leigh: I was just excited but I crashed so bad I don't remember how we got home or anything. I just remember skating and then trying to get home and now I'm here.
Me: Maybe I should let you rest longer
Leigh: We can talk.
Me: Hmm ok
