Jesy really hated how excited she was over this. She could only feel half as excited as she normally would but it was there.
The girl could not focus on the latest episode of Cops in Paris because all her mind wanted to do was imagine scenarios of going to the theme park with her friends after the GCSE results were out. The results will be out week after next according to the government. So she did not have much longer to wait. How nice it felt to be rewarded for good behaviour? It's not all on me though. She really liked what these pills were doing. Finally she wasn't high-strung and overactive. They were perfect. Dr. Jung was the best for searching so long for that medication. It was like it was made for her. She did not know if she would ever be herself again but this version was nice.
Jesy was trying not to smile while keeping her legs crossed and her back against the head board of her bed. It was night time. If I go to bed the time will go faster. She wasn't even tired. They had only proposed the idea a couple days ago and yet here she was counting down.
Jesy got out her phone. Could she request they do it sooner? What would the gang say? If I get enough people on my side beforehand they'll change their minds. Who were the easiest to sway in the friend group? My friend group. Jungkook? Princeton? Alright we'll start with Kook.
She started texting the naive boy.
Me: Hey Kookoo. How are you?
She smiled at their chat while waiting.
Jungkook came online after a full ten minutes. Jesy had logged onto YouTube within the time he took to respond.
Kook: Hi Jesy :(
Me: Uh-oh. You're sad?
Jesy scratched her head. Jungkook was such an open book.
Kook: What gave me away? :(
Me: The sad face emoji :/
Kook: Oh. Well yes Jesy. I'm sad. Sad and drained
Jesy twisted her mouth, no longer thinking of what she had wanted to ask initially. Poor little moron. She bet he was upset over something simple like misplacing an action figure. Did he still play with those? How old is this guy? In her head he was much younger than everyone she knew.
Me: Why? Lost an action figure buddy?
Kook: Action figure?
Me: You don't play with toys anymore?
Kook: I have a collection in my room. How did you know?
Me: It's written all over your face
Kook: Wow
Kook: No. All of my figures are intact and in place, polished and ready for display. Right now I'm trying to edit some videos since I am a freelance editor but it's hard. My brain is distracted and I feel like collapsing but there's a deadline
Me: Why so distracted?
Kook: Perrie and I went with Leigh-Anne for therapy and things got too extreme. We heard a lot of things. Perrie is out of commission too but I think that out of all of us Leigh-Anne is having it the hardest.
Me: What? What happened?
Jesy frowned in concern.
Kook: She essentially had to recount a lot of her past. I didn't know someone's life could be that sad :(
Me: But we knew she was starving. Was she homeless too? She had a house didn't she?
Kook: Yes but other things. Very disturbing things. I don't want to make you sad too. I'm so tired.
