So the next day bright and early, Jade was waiting for Marcy to turn up so she could come to the office with her.
She was sitting in her car in the parking lot since she was too scared to enter the school alone. Jungkook was probably inside but Perrie would not be here today. She had rehearsals for the episode of The Brit Life she would be appearing in so she would not be here for the rest of the week. Jade knew that Jungkook was capable of protecting and hiding her if she ever spotted the person she feared but she just preferred to stay here until Marcy turned up. It felt safer.
The brunette expected a call from the woman when she arrived so when that came in, she would step out of her car and walk at Marcy's side into the building. Since I'm in here, Kook is probably alone inside. Or maybe with Princeton, Ray Ray and Jesy. He wasn't as averse to Jesy as Perrie was so he would not mind spending time with her.
Her phone started ringing in her hand a moment later so she took a deep breath and opened her door to hop out.
Jade was walking alongside Marcy through the hallway.
"I hope that they just agree right off the bat because I hate going all lawyer mode on people. It usually works out when I do but I've been told that I'm pretty intimidating when I switch up." Marcy chuckled as she kept to Jade's side. She was wearing a pants suit.
Jade could feel every single person in the halls staring at her and Marcy and it felt extremely weird. I wonder what they think is happening. It probably didn't matter. The kids at their school were idiots. "I see that you're dressed up for work. Didn't bother taking the rest of the week off?"
"Oh I did but Sairah dressed me for this since she wanted me to look 'scary' to bring the point across. I mean this outfit isn't that intimidating but I guess in her head it is? She's just cute." Marcy laughed to herself.
"Hmm . . ." Jade wondered if Marcy could feel everyone's eyes on them. She did not seem to care. Well they are just teenagers.
"Jade watch out. She's coocoo for cocopuffs. Hahahaha!" A group of boys were laughing as they approached the stairs.
Jade flinched when she heard this. They did not. She gulped then looked up to Marcy.
Marcy rolled her eyes. "High schoolers,"
Jade hoped they didn't hurt her feelings. "It's just the same article. I guess it hasn't died down yet." They were walking up the stairs. "Have you decided what to do about it yet?"
"I talked to my parents and they said they'll handle it so we'll see where that goes." Marcy realized that she had no idea where the office was. "Where exactly . . ."
"Oh of course you wouldn't know. You've never been here. Heh heh. This way." So Jade started leading her from now on.
When they got to the office and the secretary allowed them to see the principal, the man seemed a bit confused.
"Good morning kind sir," Marcy said as she came in further.
"Um hi Ms. Princewel?" He wore a frown as Jade took a seat in front of his desk. "What seems to be the matter here?"
"Jade just wanted me to accompany her to sort out a bit of an issue she's been having at school. You know me being the mum of her partner and a lawyer and everything?" Marcy said pleasantly. She stood behind Jade.
"A lawyer . . ." The principal was trying to figure out why she would mention that specifically.
"Yup." Marcy said. "She told me that there's someone who's allowed to walk around the halls of this school freely despite the fact that they assaulted her about two years ago. Apparently it had been caught on video and it's common knowledge among the students that this happened and yet no one within the staff was aware? Even though it's been brought to light recently through that video created by one of your ex-students? You know, that viral video that the whole world saw? Where the girl basically revealed so many things about one of your students and in the process also revealed that a different student did that to Jade? Have you heard of that video Sir?" She tilted her head.
