Sairah and Jade were streaming on Twitch that Saturday afternoon. Sairah did the playing while Jade read the comments on screen. Jungkook was here too, recording Jade for his newest project.
Jungkook sat in a seat to the side of the gaming desk. His camera was up and focused on Jade's face. "So Jade, what do you like about gaming?"
To Jade, the documentary so far seemed boring but she supposed that Jungkook would find a way to make it more compelling as time went on. "I didn't really have an interest until Sairah entered that game making contest. I decided to pair up with her since she may need an artist and from then on I just stuck with it. I guess the thing I like most is the art of a good game. Like this one." She pointed to the high definition computer screen. "And the graphics . . . someone just asked why you're here. Jungkook is working on a project featuring me. Yous should know about his directing and movies. He's got a YouTube channel by the way. Golden Closet Productions . . ah yes. He's the one who made that documentary. Go check it out." She smiled at Sairah's camera.
"Would you say that video games help tap into your inner child?" Jungkook zoomed in.
Jade looked to the lens. "Not really. It's not a kid thing. I see it as an adult thing more than ever since so many members of the gaming community are over eighteen. But I know that there are young gamers out there."
"I can game too." Jungkook said proudly.
Jade chuckled. "I'm sure you can."
"Ever heard of Jookeru6000?"
Jade was very lost. "Eh-"
"I have." Sairah said even while focused on her game. She had gotten a challenge to beat someone's high score on this one so that was what she was doing. A lot of gamers disliked her because she would annihilate their high scores after her fans told her to but she did not care about their feelings.
"Who's Jookeru6000?" Jade wanted greatly to be in the loop here. Sometimes Sairah and Jungkook would bond over the most random stuff. Jade found herself becoming jealous a couple of times but knew that Sairah had no interest in Jungkook that way. She sees him as young and silly. Even though Jungkook was older than Jade. I'm just mature like that.
"Some anonymous gamer who shook up the community five years ago. He was an icon. People compare me to him a lot of the time so that's why I did some research. He disappeared after destroying some legend at a gamecon and no one ever saw him again. He didn't even show his face. He came in a mask." Sairah said while moving her fingers like crazy across her keyboard.
Jade read a comment that said Sairah executed an impossible combo just now. Wow. "Okay so this guy was an icon. Why did you bring him up?"
"He is me." Jungkook said brightly. "I am Jookeru6000."
Sairah gasped and glanced his way. "What?"
"Focus Sairah." Jade pointed back to her screen before blinking at Jungkook. "You were a gaming legend at like 12 years old?" Where was this coming from?
"Let me beat this real quick. Be quiet until I do." Sairah went at hyper speed to do what she wanted then ended the game. "Okay my score is seven million and sixty-six. Was that his?"
"You beat it." Jade pointed out.
"Cool. Hope you people- ha they're shitting their pants. That kid said if he knew . . . uh . . ." she squinted her eyes. "If he knew you were Jookeru he would've subscribed to your YouTube six years ago. What? You have a YouTube?"
"I just said he did but he made it for film." Jade said. "It's not a gaming channel guys . . . and now they want you to make a gaming channel."
"Maybe another time." Jungkook said happily. "You wanted to talk Sairah? Shall we turn off the stream?"
