Jesy's room was all set for the sleepover tonight.
"I just don't understand why she had to invite herself. I bet it's not even because she thinks I'll do anything bad. She's just a jealous whore who doesn't want anyone breathing near Leigh-Anne. Like . . . possessive much?" Jesy sat on her bed to face the TV which had been brought in.
"That's basically Perrie's entire personality trait. Obsessed with Leigh-Anne." Joe had a giggle. "If I were you I wouldn't let it upset me." He picked up the remote to turn on the TV. "If this is gonna be like when you guys had that last sleepover, Jade should be here to join in on the fun."
"Jade doesn't like me and Leigh-Anne doesn't like Jade." Jesy saw him flipping through channels.
"Really?" Joe stopped on a celebrity gossip channel talking about rumours of Agust D dating Leigh-Anne. Clips of them leaving through the back of a pizzeria and eating in one played consecutively. "People are so eager for this stuff. Has Leigh-Anne ever confirmed her sexuality?"
"Listen to this little man using terms like 'confirmed her sexuality'." Jesy sat next to her brother. "I don't think she's ever put out a statement bro." She adjusted the boy's hair with her fingers. "With Leigh-Anne, everything is always speculation. I don't know who her team is but they've just got shit up in the air and flying as tiny particles."
"Ew." Joe hated that visual. "Why doesn't Leigh-Anne like Jade?"
"Because Jade's dating her sister and not her." Jesy changed the channel. "Everyone's been talking about the MTV special and I didn't even watch it. How is that?" She could not remember what she had been doing when it premiered.
"I didn't watch it but kids from my class were talking about it on Whatsapp. They keep sending me pictures of you and being weird. Pictures of all of you actually. Since I know like five people who showed up in the special." Joe blushed. "Should I tell them to stop asking me if I ever kissed Sairah back when we were close? I didn't! And my other friends who knew her keep making stuff up about them and her. No one believes them but it's still annoying."
Jesy would be mortified if something came out about her being close like that with little boys. "Ew. Tell them to stop messing around or she could end up in serious shit. She barely kisses her own girlfriend. Why would she kiss a bunch of runts?"
"They're just high on attention." Joe was pulling his phone out anyway. "But I'll set them straight."
"So we come all the way here for a sleepover and you don't even have the decency to welcome us at the door?" Perrie walked into the room with her overnight bag on her shoulder.
"What is up slumber party people! L-drizzle is in the house! Woot! Woot!" Leigh-Anne bounced into the room doing rapper hands.
Perrie dragged her to her side and told her to stop embarrassing herself.
Joe's face heated up. They're always on TV and now they're in my house. Why was this becoming so difficult?
Jesy hopped off her bed. "Oh you came. I told my mum to tell me when you did. What has she been doing?" She walked past them to the door and looked out.
"We saw her playing Connect-4 with your dad. Perrie says that's the name of the game. It looked fun. Can we go play with them as one of the activities?" Leigh-Anne seemed very chipper right now because her energy was at an all high. Yes she would probably end up unbearably exhausted in an hour but when her brain wasn't out of control, she would enjoy it.
"No because that's a stupid game." Jesy closed the door and faced them with folded arms. "Unless you really want to that is."
Perrie ruffled Joe's hair after tossing her bag towards the other side of Jesy's bed. "Will Joe be joining us tonight?" She smirked at the boy.
