On Saturday around ten a.m, Perrie was sending a thumbs up emoji in the D's Angels group chat to everyone who reported that they were in London now. Most of them had arrived during the course of the week and had been keeping their presence on the downlow but some were only landing now . . . on the day of the party. Better now than never. This was the group chat excluding Leigh-Anne of course.
"It's so interesting that Marcy was just saying that I should watch this only to find out that it was your favourite Disney movie all along." Leigh-Anne's eyes were glued to the screen in Perrie's at-home theatre. She sat with her legs crossed and hands grabbing her legs, enthralled by the events before her.
"Huh? Oh yeah. Tangled's my favourite Disney movie, my favourite Disney princess and my favourite Disney." Perrie set her phone aside.
Leigh giggled. "Your favourite Disney? What's that mean?"
"Oh you know . . . it's the best Disney thing out there in my opinion. Yeah." Perrie had been checking on Leigh through text all week to see if the girl was in a good way and that had been pretty useless because Leigh-Anne had not really been on her phone. I woulda invited her over more but she's been proper busy with shooting and auditions and other stuff so it's been hard. At least right now Leigh seemed okay. Kind of tired but the week had probably just been taxing to the younger girl.
"And you said it's your favourite Disney princess? The whole movie is the best princess to you?" Leigh-Anne was giggling.
Perrie rolled her eyes. "You know what I mean." They shared a laugh after that. "It's just great okay?"
"I can see that. I liked the first version of her mother's song and the second version too. When Marcy sang it I wondered if it was a nice song but now I can see that the character isn't so nice at all."
"Yeah sis has been gaslighting, gatekeeping and girl bossing all through but I'm kinda into it." Perrie nodded at what was on screen. They were on the section where the criminals helped Flynn to escape.
"You support child kidnapping Perrie?" Leigh asked in a little voice.
"Yeah. If it's done by a baddie."
"Booo!" Leigh threw some popcorn at her friend.
"I'm joking, I'm joking." Perrie laughed heartily. "But come on. She's hot."
"She's a cartoon." Leigh shook her head.
Perrie turned up her nose. "Oh are you one of them squares who don't dig cartoon characters?"
Leigh looked at her with just her eyeballs. "I think she's attractive but it doesn't excuse her bad behaviour."
"Well that's you. Me on the other hand am a proud supporter of women's rights and women's wrongs." Perrie said this proudly and heard Leigh laugh after.
"Okay Perrie. Okay." Leigh-Anne's mind assaulted her with memories of the night that had gone awfully because she started panicking over her song being played and along with it came the humiliating instance of how she referred to Marcy. "L night." She whimpered.
"Huh?" Perrie looked at her.
Leigh-Anne shook her head.
Perrie could see that she was upset. "What is it honey bunches?"
Leigh-Anne blushed and soaked in the warmth of that name for a moment. "I was just remembering something. Don't worry."
Perrie hoped that it wasn't a horrifying flashback. Then that would mean that she truly isn't in a good way for the major event later. "Was it a good memory or a bad memory?"
