Leigh got home after two a.m. on Sunday morning.
She shut the main door to the house closed after saying goodbye to Rachel and then exhaled. It was really late but all the lights were on. I've had this on my mind all day. Was Marcy up? She was most likely asleep right? Leigh would usually call her before she came home after traveling but she was really scared this time around. I know she's not mad but I just feel guilty.
The teen walked up the stairs to get to the upper floor and then went to her mother's room.
The door was closed so Leigh-Anne knocked on it and whispered "Mum?"
Leigh-Anne turned the knob and opened it a crack since Marcy didn't respond and she saw the lights on but no one in the bed. She could hear sounds coming from the bathroom though. So she's up.
Marcy came out of her bathroom with a bathrobe wrapped around her pyjamas and she instantly spotted Leigh-Anne. "Oh Leigh you're home. Finally!" She sped walked up to the girl and hugged her.
Leigh-Anne felt even worse since Marcy wasn't mad. "I-I'm sorry that I got that tattoo. I've been thinking about it all day and it just . . . I'm so sorry."
Marcy held Leigh away and saw her crying. "Tat- oh yeah that." How could she forget? "Aww Leigh. Don't cry."
"I can't help it." Leigh-Anne sniffed while bringing her backpack to her front. "I got you a gift to apologize as well." She opened it and pulled out a purple dolphin. "I gave him the name Dollo but you can call him whatever you want. He's yours. I'm sorry Marcy."
Marcy took the plushie and melted. "Aww. Leigh-Anne. You're too sweet." She hugged the weeping teen. "Thank you so much." What use does she think that I'd have for a plush dolphin? She supposed that she could keep it on her bed.
Leigh cooled down after their hug ended. "I really hope that Grandma and Grandpa aren't hard on you. Have you contacted them since?" She wiped at her eyes.
Marcy cringed. "Well Leigh . . . your little tattoo is kind of a talking point worldwide so they found out and called me during the morning and oh . . . they weren't that mad so don't worry. They just said that I should get you a publicist because you handled that wrongly and have been handling a lot of things poorly in general regarding your fame."
"So they didn't hurt your feelings?" Leigh was beginning to feel relieved.
Marcy remembered her mother's words and how her dad shook his head. They had video chatted her for that since everyone had an opinion about Leigh's body art. "Kind of but they've decided to just hire a publicist and hope for the best. They're not mad anymore so I don't feel bad at all." She sobbed internally.
Leigh-Anne examined her face for a moment before sighing, feeling tension leaving her body in the process. "Okay." She said softly.
Marcy saw that she brought her suitcase up here. "Great so um . . . I'd advise you to stay away from the internet since-"
"Someone made a video about my tattoo?" Leigh held the back of her neck.
"There are a few videos but not only little people on YouTube have stuff to say. A Saturday morning show discussed it while I was watching TV and . . . they said a lot. My folks told me that one of their insiders said it'll be discussed on Good Morning Britain as well so . . . I guess we'll have to avoid that." Marcy was trying to see if all of this information was discomforting to Leigh-Anne.
"Discussed? Why are so many people discussing it?" Leigh-Anne was very confused.
Marcy could see how lost she was by the way her little eyes widened. "You're a . . . Leigh-Anne you're a celebrity and there was a lot of drama centering around you recently and you disappeared for a little while and then you came back only to show everyone that you got a tattoo and-"
