He hummed in consideration. I finally calmed down. Liam waited for a few seconds. “Harrison. Does your Nana hurt you? I don’t want to scare you or anything. But if you tell us, we can help you.” Liam said.

I squeezed my eyes shut, trembling. “I can’t, she’ll find out. I don’t want to get in trouble.” I whispered. Liam slowly sat up with me in his arms. He cooed softly when I startled.

“Harrison, if you do tell me. I’ll make sure that she will never be able to be around you. I promise you that.” He told me. I wrapped my arms around his neck and my legs around his waist.

“Do you promise?” I whispered. I laid my head on his shoulder. “Yes.” Liam said. I tensed up as he rubbed my back. But he continued to do this.

“Nana hates me. I was abandoned at three years old. My parents had disappeared out of nowhere. Nana wanted me to be like my father. She hates my mother, but I turned out just like her. She yells and hits me.” I confessed quietly.

“She was kicking me while on the phone to Mr. Ambrose. I had to stay quiet. I accidentally bit my lip. She starves me when I’m in trouble. When she does feed me it’s barely anything. I try to sneak out of the house before she wakes up or she would hurt me again.” I whispered.

Liam froze from his constant rubbing. I buried my face into his shoulder gently. He looked at me with a calm look. He took a deep breath. “Do you have any wounds from her beatings?” He asked. I shrugged slightly, not knowing.

“I don’t look at them. I never look at them nor do I treat them. It’s pointless if I do treat them because she causes more. She also yells at me for wasting her money when I do.” I whispered.

Liam gently moved me onto the bed. He stood up in front of me. “Let me see. I only want to help.” He told me.
