At school, it was amazing. Most of the kids were nice. My ‘friend’ Mike was a jerk. He forces me to hang out with him. He’s a werewolf like Ambrose.

He does this thing where he’ll breathe against the back of my neck. Mike also smokes and uses me as an ashtray. My inner thighs are covered with burn scars. I kept quiet about this.

Mike doesn’t hit me or anything else though. Key flashed a quick smile at me from his desk. Mike was leaning back into my desk. I watched silently as he threw a book at the poor teacher.

“How about you teach something interesting? You’re putting everyone to sleep.” He yelled. I flinched as he slammed his chair to the ground. “Harrison, let’s go.” Mike demanded. I gathered my stuff, shoving it into my bag.

Oh another thing he does is force himself onto me. I lowered my head apologizing to the teacher. I did whatever Mike tells me to do. I don’t know why I do what he says, but I do.

Key furrowed his eyebrows at me. Mike wasn’t in the lunchroom. Key sat beside me. “Hey, are you okay? Why do you hang out with him?” Key asked.

I shrugged my shoulders, not knowing either. “I guess I want to change him, because the only reason why he is like this, is that he lives with his parents and they don’t give him attention.” I said.

Key hummed softly and he touched my knee. “Hey, if you ever want to talk about it, you can talk to any of us.” Key said. I smiled at him, brightly and gratefully.
