I got a different type of medicine for the voices. She refilled my antidepressant and sleeping pills. I had a vest for my anxiety. It was thin and black that hugged my chest comfortably.

I haven’t been able to wear it with my ribs being broken. I have been okay-ish for a while. Mrs. Lucus, against my wishes, sent my file to Ambrose.

I told her everything that happened behind my grandmother’s closed door. I was afraid that they were going to leave me like the voice told me.

I was messing with the stress ball in my hand as I waited for Ambrose to say something. He was reading my file. “Harrison, tell me when I am wrong. Baby I’m not mad at you or hate you for anything. All I want is to help you.” Ambrose said.

I looked up to him. He patted his lap. I climbed into his arms. I pressed my head under his chin, purring in distress. “You take medicine for Insomnia and Depression, right?” he asked.

I nodded gently, purring louder from the anxiety. He rubbed my arm softly. “I need verbal responses, baby. Can you do that for me?” He asked.

I whimpered, but moved my head from his neck. “Y-yes. I take those.” I said. Ambrose kissed my nose caressing my cheek. I felt better after he did that. My purrs quieted to silent vibrations.

Ambrose gave me a soft smile. I relaxed into his lap. “Do you have an anxiety vest? Are you wearing it right now?” Ambrose asked. I closed my eyes so that I didn’t have to look into his eyes.

“Yes, but I can’t wear it yet. M-my ribs are broken toward the right side near my armpit. I have to see the doctor soon to see if they are healed or not.” I said.

He hummed thinking while petting my head. I slowly opened my eyes. He wasn’t looking at me but more towards the window of his office.

“Do you take pain medication for those? You also take medicine for the voices, right?” He asked carefully. I studied the side of his face. Ambrose looked back at me. My cheeks burned from getting caught staring at him.

“Yes and yes. I don’t take painkillers often. Only when I can barely move from pain.” I said. He smiled and hugged me. I snuggled into him. He slid his hand up the back of my shirt.

I liked the way his skin was rubbing against the skin of my back. My ears and tail popped out. He was hesitant about touching me. I purred at him letting him know that I enjoyed his touch. Ambrose kissed my temple gently.
