“Nana…this wasn’t the first time. She must really despise me. She sold me to him….and he wasn’t the first one nor he will be the last one.” I said.

“There was this game she and others played. She would earn money by taking a group of adults and me to the woods at a park. I had to run and hide.” I whimpered.

“I wasn’t allowed to let the adults catch me. If they did, they would beat me. Then Nana would beat me. I learned to be quick, sneaky, and quiet. The game doesn’t end until midnight.” I whispered.

Cydall tensed up slightly. He turned me around to face him. I wouldn’t look at him. “Your Nana wasn’t a good parent. A good parent would never allow another adult to touch their child or hurt them. Especially wouldn’t put them in danger.” Cydall said.

I pressed my head into his chest. My body wouldn’t stop trembling. He only hugged me tighter. “Let it out. I’ll hold you, Harrison. I won't let you go until you’re better.” Cydall promised. I just sobbed into his chest.

I ended up crying myself to sleep. Cydall was still holding me when I woke up. I rubbed the tiredness out of my eyes. He only gave me a kind smile. I yawned sleepily but got up and stretched.

“You remind me of a cat sometimes.” Cydall chuckled. I shook my head, he has no idea. I walked out of the room.Key was making breakfast again this morning.

It’s been a month since I moved here. I’m slowly getting used to living with them. I’m looking forward to school. Keith told me that I was going to the school at the end of the road, Western Central High School.

I’ll be in the same school as Keith, Cydall, and Key. As the other boys had already graduated highschool. School is in a week. Today is a busy day. Liam and Corey take us shopping for clothes (Key’s Idea) and last second school supplies. We all have a budget of 150 dollars.
