Dad and mom visited a lot. Nana was arrested but she wasn’t charged with anything. Why?

Because the Chief of the Police was one of the top predators Nana allowed to ‘borrow’ me. I didn’t say anything to them because I would rather not be bothered by that cop.

I was sitting out of the woods at night. I’m done with living in terror. I want to move on. I jumped to my feet when a ruff hand touched my shoulder.

It was the Chief of the Police. She had a grim grin on her face. “Run.” She whispered. I backed away from her then turned and took off into the woods.

I started my old habit. I would repeatedly cover the streams and ponds. I knew that she was a werewolf. I’m glad that I kept my phone in the pocket of my jacket on my chest.

I withdrew my small, needle-like, sharp claws. I climbed up a tall, thick oak tree. I climbed onto the highest branch. I bunched up my legs under me, looking around.

I silenced my phone then texted Dad my location with a quick help. I was shivering from the cool breeze around. The water had soaked me up to my waist.

I hate doing this during the cold weather. Dad showed up with mother, Ambrose, Cydall, and Corey. They searched for me. I watched them as they argued under me.

I shifted slightly, my muscles in my legs cramping up. Mom suddenly looked up, locking eyes with me.
