Today is the field trip and I am trying to stay away from Bella. So I decide to tell we cannot be friends.
"Hey, so I think it is best if we do not be friends and just stay away from each other." I say flatly. She looks up at me with hurt eyes.
"If you do not want to be my friend then why did you stop the van?"
"I do not regret saving you but I had an adrenaline rush. Its common, google it." I say.
She goes to fall but I grab her preventing her from falling. This girl is clumsy as shit. I walk away for a few minutes and she comes back over to talk. By the end of the trip I am annoyed by her question and leave.
All night kept thinking about her. I continued watching her sleep and she almost caught me a couple times. Thanks to my vampire speed I was able to get out of there. She is starting to ask more questions and I do not know how much longer it will be until she finds out.
The next day I school, I see Bella walking up to the food bar to grab something to eat. So I approach her and we started talking. She believes I am not a monster but a super hero. This girl is on something. Before I leave she asks me to hang out at the beach.
"Which one?" I ask.
"La Push. A bunch of us are going down there." She says.
"Yeah I don't know. It's a little crowded." I tell her then walk away.
The rest of the day I worry and panic about her being on the rez. The wolves are there and do not always have their temper under control. As I get home I wait for mom to get home to ask if she would watch Bella for me. I kept worrying and panicking over her. I wanted her back here in Forks. Was she okay? Were the wolves around her? Was she being save?
Question after question kept running through my head. After a little bit dad is home and I do not see mom. She must be getting Jasmine. Another 10 minutes go by and she and Jasmine come inside. I give it a few minutes before just jumping up and asking mom to go watch over Bella.
After she gets Jasmine a snacks they come into the living room so Jasmine can watch cartoons. "Hey I know it may be a lot to ask but could you go to La Push and watch Bella. Just make sure she is okay?" I ask mom nervously.
"Now why would I go over and spy on a teenage girl who is capable of taking care of herself?" Mom asks.
"I am worried about her." I say.
"Why?" Mom asks.
I am getting annoyed at this point. Why can't she just go over. "Because I do not want her over there with those mutts. They cannot be trusted." Before I could stop myself on what I said, it was too late. It already slipped out. Shit.

He did not just say that to her.
"Jasmine put your shoes on we are going home." Athena says.
"Okay mommy" Jasmine says going and putting on her shoes. Athena cleans up Jasmines snack and Edward tries stopping her.
"Please, mom I didn't mean that."
"No. You did mean it. Now get out of my way or I will give you a reason to not like us mutts." She said laced with venom.
Athena takes Jasmine and puts her in the truck. I go out and try to stop her. "Athena please don't go home. You just got here. Please just stay." I beg.
"Carlisle I am sorry, but I am not staying here tonight. I will see you at work tomorrow. I love you." She says giving me a kiss and a hug. I hold onto her a little longer and kiss her again.
"I love you too." I whisper as she gets in the truck and drives away.
I have missed her and wanted time with her tonight. But I guess not. My dead heart breaks because I know how she is probably feeling right now. I finally go back inside and see all the kids are glaring at Edward.
"Carlisle I-I'm.."
"Enough" I say firmly. I am trying hard not to lash out for hurting my mate and his mother figure.
"Please, I-I- di.." he tries to defend himself
"I. Said. Enough." I tell him again. "She has done nothing but love you all and do whatever she can to keep you all happy. It is not her job to watch over some human. Ever. You had zero right to ask her to stop whatever she was doing to watch Bella because you do not know what is happening. And on top of that you called her a mutt. A MUTT! You seem to forget Edward she is part wolf. She was finally starting to accept being a hybrid and being both wolf and vampire. I can guarantee you just ruined all that work she has put into herself. Our work schedules have been crazy and she finally had an evening to come over here and spend time with you kids and time with me. Yet, she is gone now because they cannot be trusted. She has gotten the pack to dial down on the leech comments and try to accept that she is imprinted to a vampire. So you need to do the same. She did not ask to be bitten and she did not ask to be a wolf. She is now both because of vampires. If anything it is us who cannot be trusted. Yet here she is giving us her full trust and goes above and beyond for all of you together and individually all to be called a mutt. What you did was uncalled for. I better never hear you ask her to watch over Bella again. This obsession you have with her needs to be put in check. You better hope Athena comes back eventually because if she refuses because of what you said, I will unleash prince on you Edward. No one hurts my mate." I say and walk out of the room.
I grab my phone and text Athena.
Carlisle: mi amor I am so sorry he said those words to you. I miss you but hope you have a good evening. I am always here for you. I love you❤️
