Paging Dr. Deku

20: Sunshine

"She said to let go, so that means you should listen."

Izuku instantly recognized the man's voice and looked up and felt like she was getting burned from the stare the man was giving Shindo. 

"R-Reed?" 

"Wait- I-Izu-san, you know this guy?" 

"That's right, I'm your replacement." Reed said with a death stare at Shindo. 

"R-Replacement?!?!" 

"Shindo, I started seeing Reed after you decided to cheat on me, so I really have moved on from you." Izuku stated. 

"You- You replaced me that fast, Izu-san?!?" 

"She's already explained her side of things, so why don't you listen to her and let go of her like she told you to." Reed demanded. 

That caused Shindo to let go of the greenette's wrist right away and then Reed grabbed the collar of Shindo's shirt and started dragging him out of the hospital. 

"Excuse me, Izuku, as I need to escort this foul piece of trash from getting you sick." Reed stated. 

"T-Trash!?!? Are you talking about me like that?!? Let go of me!" Shindo yelled as he was dragged out of the hospital.

"Woah, I never thought I'd see Reed this angry, but it's not the first time he's been this angry." Violet noted, walking up to the greenette. 

"N-Not the first time he's been this angry?" 

"Mn. Reed's last girlfriend cheated on him, and he didn't take it well. He hates cheaters." Violet answered. 

'R-Reed's been cheated on? No wonder his aura felt so scary just a few seconds ago. Wait- how did he know that Shindo cheated on me? I don't remember telling him about Shindo before.' Izuku thought.

"There." 

Izuku looked up to see Reed brushing his hands off as he continued walking up to her. 

"Now that that's taken care of... Good afternoon, Izuku." Reed said sweetly as he pulled out a bouquet of flowers to her. 

"Oh! G-Good afternoon, Reed! T-Thank you, you're so kind!" she answered as she carefully took the bouquet out of his hand. 

"Seems my brother's taken a liking to you if he personally escorted your ex out." Violet whispered. 

"V-Violet-senpai!" 

"Izuku, if I may ask, would you like to join me for lunch today?" he asked, holding his hand out to her. 

"Ah- O-Of course I would!"

"I'm sorry you had to jump into that little confrontation between me and Shindo. I honestly didn't think he'd appear around me like this so... soon." Izuku stated. 

"When exactly did you break up with him?" Reed asked. 

"Oh, it was last Wednesday, the day before my birthday. We were supposed to meet up and celebrate my birthday a day early since both of us were working the next day and wouldn't have had time. But it seems that he wasn't interested in me like I thought since I found him with another girl where we were supposed to meet. And when I called him to ask if we were still meeting up, he lied and said something happened at work and he wouldn't make it. It was clear that he was just using me for a really long time, and he tried to make me look like an idiot." Izuku explained.
