Paging Dr. Deku

88: Overcome

As he sat outside the hospital room, Katsuki clasped his hands together and felt his entire body shaking with worry of what the news was going to be on the greenette. 

'Deku was pregnant, and it took me this long to find out? Why did I hide for so long? I just wanted to stay quiet for a couple days, but this... it feels like I came back to all kinds of new things to me. But this news... this is the biggest reveal to me of all and I can't believe I hid so long while Deku and Kei were doing all the hard work. Deku... please be okay...' he thought as he clasped his hands tighter together.

"Katsuki!" 

The blond looked up to see the familiar faces of his mom, Mitsuki, Izuku's mother, Inko, and Emra. 

"How is Izuku?" Inko asked with worried eyes. 

"I-I don't know yet, I've been waiting here since." Katsuki answered. 

Mitsuki could tell how discouraged her son was and all she could do was give him a hug to comfort him. 

"Everyone else knew but me. I've been asleep this entire time and now I don't know what to do about all of this." Katsuki muttered as he tried to fight back the tears from forming in his eyes. 

"This is not your fault, Katsuki, as you were the one that saved Izuku from getting in a worse situation. She'll be okay, I'm sure of it." Mitsuki stated as she patted his back.

And just when Katsuki seemed to finally relax his mind a bit, the door leading to Izuku's room opened and Takashi appeared. 

"Takashi, how is Izuku?" Emra asked. 

"Why don't all of you come inside and see?" Takashi suggested leading them all inside the room. 

The second Katsuki entered the room, he looked up to see Izuku was wide awake and sitting there with a calm expression on her face. 

"Ah- Kacchan." 

"Deku..." 

He remained standing there for a few seconds until he finally walked towards the bed and immediately wrapped his arms around the greenette and hugged her tightly. 

"You're okay..." he mumbled. 

"Oof! K-Kacchan, I... can't... breathe!" she muttered, trying to push him back a little bit. He released her and looked at her tired face. 

"Sorry, I just-" 

"Hmph, I'm okay, Kacchan." she said sweetly as she rested her hand on his cheek.

"Please tell us there's good news about Izuku's condition, Takashi?" Emra asked. 

"Ahem, yes, actually I have good news and bad news." Takashi stated. 

"What's the good news?" Inko asked. 

"It seems that because of Izuku's quirk, she somehow had her quirk activated and used it to heal and protect the womb in her stomach after each dosage of Lidocaine Alban injected into her body. This isn't something that's happened before, but because Izuku's quirk is a healing quirk and because her body was in danger, I suppose it was a way of not only protecting her body from getting worse, but also protecting the child from dying. It's incredible to think about, actually." Takashi explained. 

"So that means... Deku's still... pregnant?" Katsuki asked.

"Yes, and I actually tested Izuku's blood and it revealed that I was able to see the gender. Congratulations on the both of you, as you will be having a girl!" Takashi answered.
