Paging Dr. Deku

21: Pain

"Hah- if only I had a spare key or something. Kacchan, will you please open the door? What's his problem? Don't tell me he's asleep alre-" 

"Izuku!!!"

Izuku opened her eyes to see the blonde's front door had burst open and he ran right up to her and hugged her. 

"Ack! K-Kacchan! W-W-What- W-What a-are you d-doing!?!?" she exclaimed as she pushed him away. 

"Hah? What's wrong, Izuku? I missed you, so why're you acting so strange?" Kei asked, tilting his head and smiling at her. That only caused her to blush and end up averting her gaze from him so she wouldn't have him see her face. 

"Hm? Why're you acting so shy?" 

'Why's he acting so different from this morning? It's like his personality changed completely from what it was this morning.' Izuku thought. 

"You- You couldn't have missed me, especially since I saw you this morning when I brought you breakfast." Izuku noted with a raised eyebrow.

'Ah- she brought breakfast for Katsuki? That's so unfair! I've always wanted to try her cooking!' Kei thought. 

"Well, it doesn't matter, since I was just going to stop by and tell you that I don't really think I can take care of you tonight. I-I... I've got a lot on my mind right now." Izuku mumbled. 

"Oh... Then why didn't you call me to tell me?" 

"I-I did! But you weren't answering, so I just figured I'd come here in person!" she answered. 

"Oh... That makes sense..."

'Hm? Now that I look at her... her eyes are slightly swollen. Did she cry?' Kei thought as he lifted his hand and rested it right onto her cheek.

That snapped the greenette back to reality as her eyes jolted to look right into his Ruby Red eyes. 

"H-Huh? K-Kacchan, w-what're you doing? W-Why're you touching my face?" she asked nervously. 

"You cried earlier." She felt her body go numb. 

"E-Eh?" 

"You cried about something earlier, is that why you don't want to take care of me tonight?" Kei asked. 

"W-Well, i-it's not something terrible, y-you don't need to worry about-" 

"Hah- this won't do. Hold on." Kei said as he went back inside and left the greenette standing in the hallway alone. 

'Erm- what am I doing? I could've easily just went to my front door instead of knocking and bothering him. But what's he doing?' she thought. 

"Alright, let's go!" Kei exclaimed as he walked out of the condo as he appeared to have changed his clothes. 

"Huh? W-What're you doing?" 

"What's it look like? I'm gonna take you out!" Kei answered happily. 

"Eh? But why?" 

"Don't worry, where we're going will make your spirits get lifted easily!" 

'What exactly are we doing? I really hope Kacchan isn't fooling me.'

Izuku was in awe as she realized where they were and wasn't sure if she was dreaming or not. 

"A... Batting cage?" 

"Yup! I used to come here all the time to relieve any problems that were bothering me, and that means you'll feel better trying it out too." Kei said.
