Izuku huffed as she sat down on the blond's couch and waited for him to finish washing all the soap out of his hair since she didn't want to wash it out for him because of what he said.
'I can't believe he said that so... so nonchalant! How and why does he act so differently around me at nights lately? Is it because it's just the two of us? But it's not like Kacchan really has feelings for me, but... did he really mean it when he said those things about me?' she thought as she cradled her legs.
"I could say you're the sweetest and kindest person I've met." "The way you smile and laugh makes me feel... comfortable around you. The way you mess with your hair when you're nervous to talk about something. The way you call me Kacchan makes me feel a certain something."
'Why is he making me feel this way all over again? Why is he making me want to like him all over again?' she thought.
"Phew, that was a bit of a challenge to wash all the shampoo out, but I managed to do it without getting my cast wet."
Izuku looked up to see the blond walking out of his room and rubbing a towel against his dripping wet hair. The greenette noticed that he changed his clothes too, as he wasn't wearing a tank top but sweat pants and a short sleeve Black shirt.
"Thanks for doing the hard part for me, Izuku. And sorry for what I said earlier that caused you to not want to wash out the shampoo in my hair." Kei said.
"I-It's fine, just... Please don't ever mention that night... out in public. E-Especially around our friends!" Izuku exclaimed nervously.
"Oh, okay."
She looked at him as he tossed the towel onto the couch and sighed, and she looked back up at him to see his hair was still dripping wet.
"Hah- this won't do." she muttered.
"Huh? What won't do?"
"Sit down." she said as she stood up from the couch.
"Ah?"
She walked up to him and pulled his shirt and led him to the couch and then pushed him to sit down on the couch. Kei jerked his eyes up at the greenette and watched her as she grabbed the towel that he threw and walked up to him and sat down right next to him.
She layered the towel on top of his head and started rubbing his head.
"Huh? Izuku, why're you messing with my hair?"
"Because it's not dry all the way. You could easily catch a cold if you don't dry your hair all the way." she explained as she looked serious while rubbing his hair.
At this point, the usual Katsuki would've been turning Red and feeling steam come out of his ears by how close the greenette was to her, but this was Kei. Kei stared at the focused greenette and felt a gentle rush of adrenaline hit him, but he remained calm and observed her.
"What I said earlier... I wasn't lying." Kei stated.
She moved her eyes down to look at him as the expression on his face softened.
"About what? What I specifically told you not to mention anymore?" she asked.
"No, about how you look a lot cuter with glasses on, and how you like to mess with your hair when you're nervous. How honest and kind and caring with the people around you, and... I like the cute freckles on your face." he noted as he leaned towards her.
Though she would've moved away by now, just listening to everything he said made her chest feel warm and fuzzy and she didn't want to move away from him. She clutched the towel as she could feel his subtle breath hit her skin and send shivers down her spine.
