Chapter 13

"Oh my gosh! He's slowly moving!" Tuwang-tuwa na saad ni Ciana habang nakatitig sa robot na Helix na ginalaw ang kamay.

"He's still adapting. Don't worry, one of this days, he'll move like a real Helix---I mean like a human." Mint said and simply take a glance on his direction.

"Thanks, Mint! I'll just wire you the payment."

"Oh, no need. Consider this as a gift on your birthday." Mint smiled.

Denise encircled her arms around Mint's nape and gently kiss his cheeks. Napakunot naman ang noo niya. Lalo pa't mahinang natawa si Mint at sinuportahan ang bewang ni Ciana.

"I'll take my leave now. Enjoy, Denise." Mint bid his farewell and take his leave.

Lumapit si Ciana sa robot. Malambing nitong niyakap ang bagay na 'yon.

"You're slowly becoming real, Raids. One day, we'll get married. I can't wait for that to happen." Malambing na sabi ni Ciana sa pekeng Helix.

Napasimangot siya at napakunot ng noo. Everything is slowly slipping out of his hand. He needs to make a move para mawala ang atensyon nito sa pisteng robot na 'yon.

How can she be crazier? Until now he couldn't still believe that she'll be this crazy!

The robot moved and hugged Denise. Napalawak ang pagngiti ng dalaga.

"We'll be married." Sang-ayon ng pekeng Helix o mas kilalang si Raids.

But all in all it was just him. Siya pa rin naman ang putanginang robot na 'yon. But Raids is nothing but a second rate, trying hard copy cat!

"I love you! I love you so much!" Denise cried in much joy.

His heart ached on that.

Denise was just seeking for love and attention which she doesn't have on her young age. Until his father remarried  because her Mom died while she's still a baby. Her stepmom cared for her but she didn't be able to be more close to her stepmom because of Kassiery who doesn't want her mother to be close with her.

Ciana Denise is just a lost angel trying to find heaven, but she found a devil now she's tainted and become crazy witch.

And his job is to help her get back on her senses. He hates this version of Denise.

"Call Denise Flandez and tell her I'm looking for a secretary." Sabi niya agad sa secretary ng Daddy niya.

He's helping his Dad manage his company while he was taking a break for vacation with his Mom. Si Hendrix naman sarap buhay pa. And since he's the eldest, he have to managed his Dad company even tho he's building on his own as of now.

Kumunot ang noo ni Kian Keil Kim na nagboluntaryong maging sekretarya na muna ng Daddy dahil nagtampo ito sa ama kasi hindi pinayagang sumali sa Monter Race, kaya sa ibang kompanya na lang ito tumutulong-tulong.

"Okay? What about me? Am I not your secretary?" Takang tanong nito.

Hindi siya nakaimik.

"At hindi ba bawal kayong maglapit sa isa't-isa? Are making her put herself behind the bar?" Kunot-noong tanong nito.

Napailing siya at napasandal sa swivel chair.

"Call Tito Frigus na lang. I have important shits to deal with him." Sabi na lang niya.

Agad namang sumunod ito.

Not long enough. The ruthless Attorney Frigus Benjamin has arrived. Pormal na pormal ito at walang maanigan na emosyon sa mukha. If he's not a Benjamin, he'll surely be intimidated.

"You've called me for important matter?" Agad na tanong nito.

Tumango siya.

"Pwede bang maipasawalang bisa ang restraining order?" Tanong niya dito.

Natigilan ito saka napatikwas ng isang kilay. Hindi ata makapaniwala sa sinabi niya.

"Give me a valid reason." Seryosong saad nito.

"Nakakaawa---"

"Is that all? Pity?" Nagdududang putol nito sa kany.

What else? Maybe sympathy? Concern? Worry? It sounds so similar.

"Basta, Tito. I have better plans for her." He said.

Frigus Benjamin sighed. Napasandal ito sa sandalan ng upuan at napatitig sa kanya na tila ba hindi siya pamangkin nito kung hindi isang kliyente na binusisi ng mabuti kung nagsasabi ba ng totoo.

"Actually, the reason why I initiate tge restraining order not mostly because of you but I'm doing it for her." His Tito confessed.

Napaayos siya ng upo at sumeryoso ang mukha. Hindi niya alam kung bakit sinabi iyon ng Tito niya o mas tamang sabihin bakit at ano ang rason kung bakit ginawa iyon ng Tito niya?

"Being away from you means she can have time for other things and move on." Tito Frigus said.

Tumiim ang panga niya.

Yeah. Other things like making a robot like Helix Raids Benjamin to be her boyfriend. That's clearly insane.

"So, give me a valid reason why I should terminate the paper." His Tito said.

"Can you just do it, Tito?" He groaned.

Muling tumikwas ang isang kilay nito.

"Maybe you want other contract? Marriage contract, I guess?" Ngisi ng Tito niya.

His eyes widen a bit. He abruptly shook his head.

"No, Tito. Of course, not." Agad na iling niya.

Ngumisi lang ito at binuksan ang briefcase saka may nilabas na papel. 'Yon ang pinirmahan nila ni Ciana Denise.

Napaawang ang labi niya ng biglang punitin na lang nito ang papel sa harap niya hanggang sa maging pino iyon.

"It's actually just fake papers. Anyways, is that all what you want?" Tanong nito.

Napatikhim siya para bawiin ang pagkagulat at umayos ng upo.

"Uhm, can you tell her about it? So that she won't be afraid of getting close to me anymore." He said.

There's a ghost smirk on the rutless attorney's lips.

"Scared but still let you get in her condo? Wow, Denise is really scared." Sarkastiko ngunit may bahid ng tawa ang boses nito.

Kumunot ang noo niya kung paano nalaman nito. How did he know that he paid a visit to her condo?

Masaganang napahalakhak ang abogado.

"Helix, stop overthing. It was just your Dad's men. Pinabantayan ka kaya alam namin kung saan-saan ka nagsusuot." Ngisi nito.

"W-what.."

"At alam rin namin na pumapasok ka ng pasikreto sa condo ni Denise.  And we're wondering what are you doing there for hours?"

Napasimangot siya. Pinanatili niya ang pagkunot ng kanyang noo.

"I'm just paying her a visit." Palusot niya.

Napatango ito saka tumayo na.

"If you say so. But if Denise will sue you for trespassing, I'll be her lawyer." Nakangising saad ng abogado saka naglakad na paalis.

Naiwan lang siyang nakatingin sa papalayong bulto nito.
