Cassandra POV
My outfit
"So she just wants to give up?" I asked, meeting the silence. "I thought she couldn't get any lower, but I'm not surprised."
"You're evil." Alaric accused me.
"And you alcoholic. Don't point to the obvious.''
Damon laughed and drank bourbon. "I heard that Jenna Elijah is touring the city today and giving him a tour," Rose said.
"What's it like when that old man takes over your girlfriend?" Damon asked teasingly.
It was my turn to laugh. "Jenna, of course, thinks he's charming."
"I hear jealousy, Alalric?"
"Yeah, you heard."
Alaric looked at the two of us before asking me. ''What about you? You don't mind your aunt wandering around with him. You don't know if he won't hurt her.''
"You know Alaric, if I had the slightest suspicion that he even hurt her, he wouldn't get a chance. I can take care of that," I calmly replied.
"It wasn't like he stabbed me in the neck."
"You deserved it.''
''Ah. There's Jenna with her new boyfriend," Damon said, looking out the door.
"Hey guys," Jenna greeted her with a smile on her face. "Cassie, I didn't know you'd be here."
"Well, here I am, glad to see you again, Jenna," I smiled at her and stood up to go hug her.
''I heard you two had, uh... quite a meeting of historical minds.''
''Yeah. I guess you could say that. My niece was just missing there, wasn't Cassie?''
I raised my eyebrows at her. "Do you know I'd be bored there?"
"Yeah, but your knowledge would certainly serve well. Attractions that no one knows about.''
"I don't deny that, but it doesn't change the fact that it's boring."
I stared at her and she stared back. "Ladies, there is no need to fight for me."
We both turned to Damon, who had a grin on his face, but could be seen slowly disappearing. "I don't think anyone would ever get there to have someone fight for you. You'll be glad someone comes to that battlefield at all.''
''You know what? We should continue this. Let's have a dinner party," Rose said, I looked at her.
"Ooh, good idea. I'll be happy to host. Say tonight, maybe?'' Damon offered.
