Thana POV

"I don't understand why we have to blindly follow you," Elena complained.
I turned to her and smiled sweetly. "You don't have to, just get lost on this damn cursed island. Just remember that if you scream for help, you are more likely to put yourself in danger, because as you already know, we are not alone, and I don't think anyone cares who or what you are, so it is of no use to you. But then again, you could have stayed home and saved everyone a headache.''
I smirked at her silence and continued on my way. I got into the lead pretty quickly when we were translating the map that the hunter has on his body with his sword in the morning and we found out that the only ones who could fluently read the dead language the map was written in were me and Niklaus. And because Niklaus was so kind, he let me lead the way, as well as his arm around my waist.
Not to mention the incident with Shane trying to get off before dawn, Bennett wanted to take the witch, the tombstone and the hunter. And maybe he tried to cut my throat while I slept. So I let him think I was unaware and later they enjoyed his death with the show before. It's cruel... but what else can you expect from Death?
After several hours of walking, we finally reached the stone valley. I looked around in amazement, a river once flowed here and now there was only a small lake in the middle of a dry canyon. It is interesting what changes nature makes over the years.
Shane looked at me suspiciously as we passed the gap in the ground, the so-called entrance he wanted to go through like everyone else. Unfortunately for them, it is a very complicated and demanding path, therefore those who lived once knew the way in and out in a much easier way.
We reached the stone wall, where I placed my palm on a specific stone. Darkness began to flow from my palm and pour into the surrounding world. The others looked at me with either curiosity and wonder or horror and fear as I used the darkness to draw the signs of an old language that no one knew who was alive anymore.
I stepped back and the stones began to connect to form a passageway, a gateway to the stairs into the darkness. Once the job was done I looked at the others behind me with a smirk. "Who wants to go into the darkness of the past?"
___
"Just a checking question... did you even need me and the hunter?" Bonnie caught up to me and asked me curiously.
I blankly shook my head and smirked as I spoke to her in a lower voice. "I didn't need anyone to get here, but he did," I nodded at Shane who was looking around with mixed emotions. "Maybe I'd keep pretending that I need him or anyone else, but his life is coming to an end anyway. And if not by me, then by someone else.''
''What?! You can't just kill someone! You can't kill people just because they have no use for you anymore!'' she shouted angrily in a low voice.
I turned to face her and raised an eyebrow. ''Why not? During those two days I played with him and now he is useless. Let's not talk about him trying to kill me. Not that it bothers me, but it's not very pretty. Moreover, I will do him a service, his lifelong dream has come true. He got to the tomb and will see Silas, what he had planned with him unfortunately won't work out,'' I smirked at the last piece of information.
