Cassandra POV
My outfit
The blonde girl next to me groaned and rolled over in bed. I smirked at the obvious hangover. I had already been awake for a while and prepared the aspirin next to the bedside table. She sat up at a slow pace, her eyes closed against the light.
I went to her and touched her hand. "Here," I handed her a glass of orange juice and an aspirin.
Caroline swallowed and drank the aspirin before looking at me. ''Thanks.''
I smiled at her. "You're welcome, I hope last night helped you. Get drunk and forget everything. Which reminds me...'' I smirked as I returned to her with a large box. "Because of yesterday's mess, I couldn't give you a present."
She looked at me in surprise. "You didn't have to give me anything."
''Nonsense! Anyway, I think you'll change your mind once you see what I gave you,'' I smiled at her and she started to tear open the packaging before opening the lid of the box.
"Wow! This is beautiful,'' Caroline held her purse and was speechless.
"That's not the best part about it, it changes with your outfit."
"OMG! WHAT?!'' she left her purse behind and jumped into my arms. "Thank you, thank you, thank you..."
"Anything for you Care," I smiled at her and kissed her forehead. "Now, don't you want to do a fashion show for me?"
___
"Thanks for the drink, Dam. But I was called I can guess,'' I took another sip of bourbon before turning to face him.
Damon refrained from answering. "How can I put it, I'm kind of worried about Alaric, he's starting to lose his memory."
I laughed. ''Seriously? Am I hearing right? Damon cares about someone?!''
"Cassie, you know I care about you too."
"Maybe it's old age."
"Be serious."
I laughed lightly before raising my hands in a peace gesture. ''Okay. I can look at him when he brings the drink.''
"Thanks, but do it without being noticed."
Before I could object, Alaric appeared. And Damon looked at me seriously. I rolled my eyes.
"I'm carrying another batch! One for you and one for the lady,'' Alaric placed another glass of alcohol in front of me. He sat across from us and I started a conversation. I had to distract myself somehow.
"How are you and Elena doing at home?"
Alaric sighed. "Well, it's a little different when Jenna and Jeremy moved out. Even Elena isn't home today.''
