Boomstick: Well, that's what I call a death battle and a good way to start off season 3.
Boomstick: We had a fun wiz but now people are gonna be pissed at us for Goku and Vegeta losing.
Wiz: To be fair, people were gonna be mad regardless of who lost and who won.
Wiz: This was simply the outcome that we found out via research and careful thinking.
Wiz: Anyway, since this fight was a 2 vs 2 there was more variables than before. Especially with these characters, it made this fight more interesting and in depth than the standard Goku vs Sonic.
Boomstick: One thing's for sure, the saiyans definitely gave the hedgehogs hell. I mean physical brute strength wise they were indeed stronger.
Wiz: Not just that but they had far more transformations to work with, meaning that sonic and shadow were always guessing and on their toes.
Wiz: What's interesting is that Goku and Vegeta actually didn't stand much of a chance in their base forms believe it or not.
Boomstick: We know that they can destroy at the very least 9 or so universes in their base forms as they absorbed the power of god ki into their base forms but compared to the hedgehogs that was child's play.

Boomstick: Sonic defeated Erazor djinn, a genie who could destroy hundreds of universes. Keep in mind that sonic was hit with a curse that drain his life energy so he wasn't at full power.

Boomstick: But even with that, he was able to defeat him in his base form. Shadow and sonic fight all the time and often get compared to one another so it's easy to assume whatever one can do the other can do as well.
Wiz: Meaning when it came to raw power, Goku and vegeta were in a lot of trouble.
Wiz: So naturally the best way they could've kept up was to transform and boost their power to match the hedgehogs.
Boomstick: But even then, the hedgehogs vastly superior speed gave them the upper hand.
