"You came home just because I told you that I missed you?"
Arthfael took a bite of the strawberry cake he had on his plate. He gazed at me and smiled. I'd really love to see it. I miss it so much. Parang ilang taon kaming hindi nagkita sa personal kahit umuuwi naman s'ya kapag bakasyon.
Namiss ko 'yung araw-araw s'yang nasa harapan ko.
"Hmm," he slowly nodded. "I miss you too, so much. I couldn't wait for vacation anymore, umuwi nalang ako."
Inangat niya ang kamay. Marahan ang tingin saakin nang hawiin niya ang tumatabing na buhok sa mukha ko.
"You looked so tired," he mumbled.
I smiled and nodded. "I am,"
"Let's sleep after finishing this cake, hmm?"
"Okay," pagpayag ko sa gusto niya.
We finished eating the cake she brought. We're talking about how my day went since he asked again. When I was already lying on the bed, he changed his clothes in the bathroom before he lay beside me.
I hugged him before he could even pull me to him. I miss his warmth beside me. I miss his smell from him. I miss sleeping with him.
Arthfael slowly brushed his long fingers through my hair. I closed my eyes and tried to sleep, but I couldn't since I still wanted to ask him about how he got in here.
"Wala ka bang pasok ngayon?" Tanong ko sa kanya at nagmulat ng mata.
I narrowed my eyes so I could lock eyes with his. He was looking down at me too. He continued playing with my hair and answered my question.
"Meron, love,"
My lips parted. "Absent ka?"
"Hmm,"
"Umamsent ka para lang umuwi dito?"
He pouted his lips after serious lingered in my voice.
"Isang araw lang naman, love. Babalik rin ako bukas ng gabi,"
I gasped. "Nagsayang ka ng pamasahe, uuwi ka rin bukas."
"Ayaw mo ba na nandito ako?" Mahina at tila biglang nagtatampo niyang sabi.
Guiltiness was written on my face after I saw how he suddenly removed his eyes from me. Hindi naman sa hindi ko s'ya gustong nandito. Masaya ako, sobrang saya ko na nandito s'ya at gustong-gusto ko 'yon. Miss na miss ko na s'ya kaya bakit ko aayawan na nandito s'ya ngayon?
I sighed and hugged him more. "That's not it," I whispered to him. "Of course, I want you here. I miss you and I appreciate that you came home just because I said that to you. Ginawa mong napakadali na lumipad galing Canada at papunta dito. I'm sorry if it sounded like I don't like you here."
Nawala ang pagtatampo sa mata, agad na lumingon saakin at bumuntonghininga.
I put my lips together and stared at him gently.
"I understand. I'm sorry too. Don't worry, I won't miss classes again." He murmured. "I just want to see you because you miss me and I miss you too."
He kissed my forehead. "I could always find a way to go home to you if I wanted to."
I looked at him again.
"I was willing to go to you. Just tell me you miss me too."
Since that day, I have never told him that I miss him. Baka kasi bigla na naman s'yang umuwi. Alam kong gusto niya akong makita at makasama. Gano'n din naman ako sa kanya pero mas mahalaga pa rin ang pag-aaral niya at sayang ang perang ginagamit niyang pamasahe.
