"Gusto mo bang humiwalay ng lamesa?"
Naputol ang titig ko kayna Arthfael nang magsalita si Rastiel. I looked at him and was a bit shocked by his question.
He smiled. "Krysanthe asked me earlier if you're not comfortable with Arthfael at one table, then she'll need a table for you, her, and Viri."
My lips parted. "No," I said, shaking my head. "Why would I not be comfortable sharing a table with Arthfael?" I asked and smiled.
"Don't worry. I think we're good." I gulped and bit my lips after I said that, because I wasn't really sure if Arthfael and I were good.
Maybe we are? We ended up good. We didn't fight the last time we saw each other and parted ways. He didn't say he was mad and I never felt mad.
We're okay.
We're good.
Rastiel seemed hesitant about my answer, but in the end he nodded to me. He walked first, and Rye was beside me when we followed him to the table where Arthfael and his girl were.
I swallowed hard and clasped my hand, that is, holding my clutch tightly.
"Where are Viri and Krysanthe?" I asked Rye, who was walking casually beside me.
He shrugged. "Maybe in the bathroom."
I sighed and nodded.
When Rastiel was already on Arthfael's back, I stopped walking. I was just two steps behind him. My heart is beating so fast and I am continually breathing hard.
"Relax," Rye chuckled beside me as he whispered. "I thought you wanted to see him for years. Why do you seem so tense now? Aren't you excited to see him?"
Tiningnan ko s'ya.
"Of course I am excited to see him. I've been waiting for him to come back, but I couldn't help but get nervous. My heart is pounding so fast."
"Don't be so nervous, he won't eat you." He joked. "I knew he was waiting for this time to come too."
I was confused by the last sentence he said. My heart beat faster because of it and my lips parted to utter something when he turned his gaze away and Rastiel interrupted us.
"Khal," tawag nito saakin at nang malingunan ko ay nakatayo na pala sa harapan ko si Arthfael at sa tabi n'ya ay ang kasamang babae na nasa akin ang atensyon.
Napakurap ako at nabato sa kinatatayuan.
I met his eyes again. I couldn't utter a word and I was suddenly mute.
Arthfael was staring and seemed to be waiting for something. No one talked, and I was stuck and didn't know what to do.
Arthfael chuckled.
Napakurap ulit ako at parang nanlalambot ang tuhod matapos marinig ang muting tawa ni Arthfael. Mas malapitan ay nakita ko ang ngiti niya.
"Hi?" He said, grinning charmingly.
My heart fell.
"H-Hi?" I said, confused.
He chuckled again and I had become stone in my place when he opened his arms like he was asking for a hug.
I heard Rye laugh beside me, and he whistled that only I could hear.
Napakurap ako.
"Don't you missed me?" Napasinghap ako.
Mas lumalim ang boses niya.
I bit my lip. Not in myself when I took a step forward and accepted his hug. I stopped breathing when I slowly smelled his favourite scent. I stopped myself from crying when I felt his hand slowly wrap around me and he locked me in his arms.
