"Why? Do you think you still haven't made me proud? "

[Hmm...] He hummed from the other side.

I smiled. "Kahit hindi mo pa natutupad 'yung mga pangarap mo, Arthfael, proud na ako sa 'yo. You already made me proud when you told me you'd like to study medicine after you graduate."

I didn't get an answer from the other line. I stayed quiet for a couple minutes, thinking that he might still be processing what I said, but I ended up hearing his heavy breathing from the other line.

I couldn't help but chuckle to myself because he fell asleep again. It wasn't really the first time that he fell asleep while we were talking. When it happened the first time, I asked him the next day why he fell asleep when he clearly told me that he wasn't really sleepy. He answered "nakatulog ako dahil sa boses mo."

I was confused by that. How could my voice make him sleep? Was my voice in a call that sounded like a lullaby?

"Goodnight, love," I whispered while hearing his deep breaths.

After a few minutes, I decided to end the call and go to bed.The next morning, I wasn't able to see Arthfael, and on Sunday too. We just talked on the phone. Arthfael was still busy reviewing while I was busy reading the book we bought last Friday.

I already told Arthfael that Mommy wants him to come with us to my lola's birthday party. I invited him, and he gladly accepted my invitation. Mukha nga lang s'yang kabado nang sabihin kong birthday ng lola ko ang dadaluhan namin.

"Anong magiging pangalan ng anak na babae ni Rye sa future?"

I gazed at Rastiel when he, out of nowhere, asked that question. We're at the coffee shop near the school and studying for finals. After almost a half hour of no one talking, he spoke and asked a question.

Pumalumbaba s'ya sa lamesa at tumingin kay Rye na kumunot ang noo sa tanong ni Rastiel.

"Ano?" Bored na sagot ni Arthfael kay Rastiel.

"Sue," He answered, and instead of hearing a laugh, silence dominated our table.

I couldn't help but find the situation funny. I covered my face with my book and hid my smile.

"How are you sure that I'll name my daughter Sue?" I heard Rye, confusedly asking Rastiel.

"Kasi diba mag-a-attorney ka?"

"Tapos?"

"Tapos palagi mong maririnig sa trabaho mo 'yung 'I'll sue you!' kaya Sue ipapangalan mo sa unang babaeng anak mo. Ang slow mo naman, attorney."

I can't stop my giggles anymore. I heard Arthfael beside me laughing too. The situation was so funny because Rastiel's supposed joke ended in confusion for Rye.

"Waley 'yung joke mo, par. Dapat ganito," I shook my head when I heard what Arthfael said to Rastiel.

I put down my book and saw that Arthfael patted Rastiel's shoulder. I gazed at Arthfael. I didn't get my eyes back to my book and waited for his joke.

"Anong sabi ni mama donut kay baby donut nang makita n'yang umakyat ito sa hagdan?" Tanong ni Arthfael kay Rastiel na kaharap niya.

Bumango mula sa pagkakapalumbaba si Rastiel at interesadong tumingin sa boyfriend ko. "Ano?"

Arthfael smiled. "Psst! Bavarian,"

"Pfft," Rastiel laughed loudly that we could even get attention from the other customers. I saw Rye put an ear pod on his ear.
