A loud ring from my phone suddenly wakes me from my peaceful sleep. Kinapa ko mula sa itaas ng unan ko ang cellphone ko at marahang iminulat ang mata upang makita kung sinong tumatawag saakin.
My other hand was trying to search if Arthfael was already beside me, but he still wasn't and he's actually the one who's calling me.
My lips parted a bit and I saw that the call ended even before I could answer it. Napaupo ako at nakita ang marami niyang text at ilang beses na tawag. I read our conversation from my last text earlier until his last message.
Arthfael:
Overtime na naman :(
Ako:
I understand. Do well at your work and eat dinner. I'll eat mine too. I'll wait for you to get home.
Arthfael:
Okay po, love. (｡◕‿◕｡)
Arthfael:
Happy eating! Hindi na ako makapaghintay na matapos ang trabaho at umuwi sa 'yo.
Arthfael:
I love you, tangi.
Ako:
I love you too.
That's his last text before I started sketching and fell asleep, and his next message was after one hour, telling me that he's still at work. I waited patiently until nine at midnight, when I fell asleep.
His next message was almost ten in the evening.
Arthfael:
Love?
Arthfael:
I'm sorry, sorbang dami pang kailangang gawin sa trabaho. Ang higpit talaga ng head namin. Ayaw magpauwi na. :(
Arthfael:
Why aren't you answering? Are you mad? :(
Arthfael:
Love? Tulog?
I chuckled and scrolled more of his messages.
Arthfael:
Pauwi na po. :D
Arthfael:
Tulog ka na, love?
Arthfael:
Love nasa labas na ako, naiwan ko susi ko(ಥ﹏ಥ) Paano ako papasok?
Arthfael:
Love (༎ຶ⌑༎ຶ)
That's his last message, and the next time was a missed call. Bumangon agad ako at nagtipa ng mensahe sa kanya dahil ang oras na sinabi niyang nasa labas na s'ya ay kanina pang alas-dies kuwarenta. It's already 11:37!
Ako:
I just woke up. Saan mo iniwan 'yung susi mo? Why did you forget about it?
He replied fast!
I'm already almost at the door.
Arthfael:
Sa locker :( Sorry, ginising pa kita. Pabukas ng pinto, love :(
I chuckled and thought of a silly joke to reply to him.
Ako:
Go get your key and open the door yourself. I don't want to get up. It's your fault. I told you to not forget your duplicate key.
I was holding the doorknob. I quietly unlocked the door's padlocks and my eyes were fixed on my phone's screen. I was waiting for his other reply, and my Arthfael replied with a sad face!
