"Liv. Liv wake up. Livvy." napamulat ako dahil sa pagyugyog ni Kaylee sa braso ko. "Are you having nightmares again?" tanong niya at marahang hinaplos ang pisngi ko. Puno ng pag aalala ang kanyang mukha.
Tumango ako sa kanya. "I'm sorry. Did I wake you up?"
She shook her head. "I've been awake for a while when you started making sounds in your sleep. What's your dream about?"
Bahagya siyang lumapit sa akin. I don't buy what she said because she's still lying on the bed beside me. I think she did wake up when I started making sounds. Nag iwas ako ng tingin. I've been having these flashes of memories I can't even remember happening to me for days now. It all started after watching the football game a week ago.
"It's nothing serious. You don't have to worry." paninigurado ko.
She eyed me suspiciously before getting up and shoved my phone. Nanlaki ang mga mata ko at mabilis na napaupo. Did she…?
"I got bored while waiting for you to wake up and your phone kept on buzzing. Who in the hell is Valerie?" she asked, raising one of her eyebrows.
"Kaye!" I snapped. "Did you go through my phone?" inis na tanong ko kahit alam ko na ang sagot. Of course, she did.
She shrugged. "You didn't even bother to make an effort in thinking of a harder passcode. I got it right after three attempts." she smirked. "I loved it, tho. And to make it fair, your birthday is my passcode too."
Nang maglalagay ako ng passcode, birthday niya ang unang pumasok sa isip ko kaya iyon ang inilagay ko.
"Don't worry, I didn't go through your messages. I just saw the name. Who is she?" muli niyang sabi.
I sighed in relief. Pero agad akong nakaramdam ng konsensya. I know that my birthday is her passcode and sometimes when she's not looking or when she's in the bathroom, I scan her messages. And every time I do that, I wanna puke in disgust. That Wes guy is so flirty.
Nag iwas ako ng tingin sa kanya. "She's a friend. Cole said we'd hangout at her house today." sagot ko.
I tried not to sound excited. I don't want her to know I have a crush on some girl I've only met once. She keeps on making snarky remarks about Cole flirting with me even though he's not. If she will know about this, I'm sure she will raise hell.
"I better get ready then." wika niya at nagsimulang kumuha ng damit sa cabinet.
My phone buzzed. It was Valerie. I smiled before opening the message. Ngunit agad din nawala ang ngiti ko dahil sa nabasa ko.
"Kaylee Andrea Sinclair!" umalingawngaw ang boses ko sa buong kwarto.
She sent a 'get lost' message to Val using my phone. She said she didn't go through my messages!
She just laughed and gave me an evil smirk before going to the bathroom. That girl!
I tried to type an explanation but I can't even form a sentence. Mariin akong napapikit at napabuntong hininga.
I'll just apologize in person.

"We're here." anunsyo ni Cole.
Namataan ko agad si Val na nakatayo sa tapat ng gate at nakatingin sa sasakyan. The car is tinted kaya hindi niya kami nakikita. Sabay kami ni Cole bumaba ng sasakyan, naiwan naman si Kaylee na mukhang nag aalangan lumabas.
"I'm thirsty. I'll go ahead first." saad ni Cole at nagmartsa papasok ng bahay.
Naiwan kaming dalawa ni Val na seryosong nakatingin sa akin. Ngunit hindi nagtagal ay ngumiti din siya.
