"Pierce, please I'm trying to study." I let out an aggravated sigh as my eyes flickered upward from the white-colored pages of my textbook. Pierce approached closer to me, sliding the textbook out from my lap and throwing it to the side.
"Take a bre...

I let out a yelp, tears streaming down my face from the pain. "I'm sorry baby, just hold it there. I'll get you back as fast as I can." Pierce placed a kiss on my head, his voice cracking as he said the next words "I love you Aspen, please stay with me."
Pierce broke away from me, slamming the door shut as he hurried around to the other side of the truck, getting into the driver's seat. I watched him turn the key in the ignition, put the truck in reverse, and speed away. It all happened so fast that I couldn't process my surrounding environment.
I looked down at the shirt that had now been soaking in blood, but I didn't dare look at the wound. I was a nursing major but my professor always said to never look at an injury to yourself-whether it was a wound or a broken bone. She said it would freak you out more because it had been done to you, that it was completely different when working on someone with an injury.
To avoid more panic rising in me, I didn't look. I knew it was important to keep my heart rate down with the amount of blood I was losing by the minute. I knew something was wrong when I began seeing stars, scared of losing consciousness.
"P-Pierce." I stuttered, holding the shirt onto the wound, "I think I'm going to pass out."
The fight to stay awake had become harder, my body becoming dizzy and feeling like the world was spinning around me. "No, baby stays with me." Pierce's voice was breaking into fear as he looked over me, watching me fight to keep my head upright "Aspen stay with me."
I could see out the corner of my eyes that Pierce was going 160 miles, the fastest this truck could possibly go. We had been on the highway which luckily had been somewhat empty, allowing for him to swerve in and out of lanes.
Pierce reached for his phone, scrolling through his contacts as he glanced between the screen and the road. The road was covered by the darkness, making it impossible to see more than ten feet ahead of you. I could hear the ringing of the phone mash with the consistent ringing in my ears.
"Pierce? Where the hell is you?!" Sawyer's voice shouted through the phone, making it obvious that our disappearances for the night were caught. Xander was going to have us crucified by the time we got home. We weren't even supposed to leave the house, let alone sneak out in the middle of the night to go pick up a pregnancy test.
"Sawyer I don't fucking need this right now!" Pierce shouted at his sister through the phone, her voice echoing through a speakerphone. "Look we had to go to the drugstore, Atticus Jenson and Marley Lennon were there. I don't have time to explain but Aspen was stabbed, we're about ten minutes out, can you please help?!"
"Stabbed?!" Sawyer exclaimed through the phone, shock setting into her voice. "Sawyer she's losing a lot of fucking blood." Pierce's eyes narrowed down to the shirt covered in blood, and now the rest of my clothes were also drenched in the red liquid.
"I will get everything ready," She blurted immediately, trying to stay calm "Pierce ever you do, do not let her fall asleep! With the amount of blood, she's losing she's going to feel weak, first, her body will kick into adrenaline. She'll go into overdrive, but the adrenaline is going to wear off. Without the adrenaline in her body, she's going to be in a lot of pain, she's going to feel like she's going to pass out-Do NOT let her pass out."
