"No, you're not. Get off the back." I gritted the words between my teeth, gripping the bike to prevent her from going anywhere. Aspen's eyes flickered toward mine, and her face became cold as she processed what had just happened.
I had no idea what was going through her head or why she was doing this. I didn't know what point she was trying to make but it needed to stop before she or someone got hurt. Aspen didn't have the first clue about riding a motorcycle, let alone when it was snowing.
Next, she ripped the bike from my grip, pulling it out from my hands as her sparkling blue eyes held a dark gaze-one I hadn't seen many times before but had gotten a lot of it lately. I looked over her body that sat on the bike, her back arched slightly as she leaned a bit forward with her hands clutching the handlebars.
She was wearing a black dress that had a deep v in the middle of her chest, being held up by thin straps. The heels she wore were also black, with thin straps along her ankles. I was sure she had to be freezing but the adrenaline in her body may have taken care of that for now.
"Watch me." Her lips parted before the corners tugged up into a smirk as if she enjoyed this as if she enjoyed making me angry. She moved swiftly, picking up the helmet and placing it over her head, covering any sight of her face.
My blood was practically boiling at how stupid she was being, not thinking for even a second. There was no way she was thinking about what this could potentially lead to. I began to open my mouth again to protest but was stopped when she hit the gas and took off. Within a matter of seconds, she was feet away from me, racing down the dark road that was lit up by the street lights.
I stood in place, my whole body becoming tense as I watched the bike make tire marks in the snow that coated the road. My head began to spin with worry when she had completely been out of my sight, seeing nothing but darkness ahead. My chest began to thump when I could no longer hear the roaring of the engine, knowing she was not near.
Seconds went by, feeling like an eternity as I hoped this was all some game to her and that she'd come back down that road any minute now. As if she was just trying to give everyone a big scare. My body became stern when more time passed and there was no sight of her nearby, and I knew she wasn't coming back.
