(I recommend some sad music for this chapter)
"Hey hey hey," A voice chirped, followed by a knock at the door of the opened bedroom door. I looked up from my phone, my eyes landing on Juniper and Evangeline who stood in the frame of the doorway.
"Hey." I smiled, sitting up as much as I could as I held onto the side of my stomach. After everything that had happened last night, Xander and I had a long talking too with Pierce and me- including a sex talk which was very unenjoyable, to say the least. Sawyer was able to perform the blood transfusion, it all went well and I was back to feeling myself by this morning.
She managed to stitch me up herself, closing the open wound from being stabbed by Marley. Meanwhile, Pierce had to have over 50 shards of glass being picked out from his back. It took about an hour and a half to get each shard out but he handled it like a champ. From what Pierce said, Sawyer told him we were super lucky to get my back to the house at the time we did.
Regarding the whole pregnancy scare, well Pierce and I haven't talked about it at all. I was waiting for him to bring it up but I didn't know if he ever would. I didn't know how he had been feeling and it was killing me inside, I wanted to ask but I didn't want to upset him. All of last night, Pierce was up in bed. He didn't say a word but I think he slept an hour at most-I figured he was just stressed after everything had gone.
Meanwhile, Theo and Tyson spent the rest of the night hacking into the store's security cameras and erasing all of the footage. The last thing we needed was Pierce getting arrested for shooting Atticus, even if it was self-defense. The problem was the court would look at someone like Pierce and automatically assume he was guilty based on his past prison record.
"How are you feeling?" Evangeline's pale pink lips tugged into a smile as she approached closer to the bed, Juniper following behind her. Evangeline's strawberry blonde hair was down, combed through thoroughly and she was dressed in the normal Crestmont uniform- a white t-shirt and a pair of jeans.
Juniper on the other hand looked like she had just woken up, with her blonde hair up in a messy bun and tired eyes to pair with it. Her gray sweatpants hung loosely around her hips, and she kept an oversized sweatshirt to cover her torso.
"Better than yesterday." I admitted, trying to look on the bright side, "I mean I feel as good as I can after getting stabbed. My stomach just hurts, but Sawyer gave me some pain meds to deal with the pain. She said it should dissipate in a bit."
"That's good," June took a seat on the edge of the bed, next to Evangeline, "Where's my brother? I haven't seen him all morning."
"In the shower," I nodded my head towards the attached bathroom, "He just got out of bed a bit ago, he was up all night long. Didn't even come to bed till four in the morning, took Sawyer forever to get all the glass out of his back."
"He hasn't said anything about last night, hasn't he? I mean the whole pregnancy scare-" June bit her lip, glancing from the bathroom door to me. I looked between her and Evangeline, letting out a sigh and shaking my head to the side.
