"Pierce, please I'm trying to study." I let out an aggravated sigh as my eyes flickered upward from the white-colored pages of my textbook. Pierce approached closer to me, sliding the textbook out from my lap and throwing it to the side.

An amazing Pierce and Aspen video edit by the one and only engelq2005 ^^
Looking at the newest Mr. and Mrs. Gunner, they both faced the audience with bright smiles. I clapped along with the crowd that had formed within the venue which was decorated wall to wall with florals. Xander grabbed onto Phoenix's hands, the two of them running down the aisle, invoking cheering within everyone.
I clapped till they exited the room, my eyes shifting towards where a traditional alter would be. I regretted glancing over when Pierce's eyes locked with mine. I swallowed hard, thinking about how this could be him with Mercury one day. The promise ring was first, but an engagement ring was next.
Pierce shoved his hands into the pockets of his pants before being tapped by Juniper. His eyes broke the cold stare held between the two of us, his attention turning towards his sister. I was grateful to be saved by June, I couldn't take another distant stare.
"That ceremony was beautiful." Rain sniffled, wiping away the stray tears sliding down the sides of her cheeks. "I just can't stop crying."
"Here." Ryker rolled his eyes at his teary-eyed wife, handing her a small package of tissues that had been in his pocket. His eyes turned to me, his lips parting as he began to sleep. "The doctor told us that the emotional part would stop after the pregnancy. It did not. Last Tuesday Rain sobbed over a video of a turtle crossing a road."
I cocked an eyebrow at Rain, giving her an amused look as Rain didn't seem like the type of girl to be emotional. She was headstrong, she knew how to handle herself and knew how to get what she needed even if it was hard. I could tell there wasn't much room for tears in the world of Rain Thompson-Anderson...or so I thought.
"It was a very emotional video!" Rain exclaimed in defense, giving Ryker a smack on the arm. "You'll understand when you have kids one day, Aspen. They really throw your hormones out of wack, even when they're not in you anymore."
"Yeah...one day," I muttered, pressing my lips in a thin line as I offered a small smile. I hated to think about my future now that Pierce wasn't a part of it. We had talked about it so many times that it was a plan. A plan that we were meant to follow. And now? I was left on my own trying to reconfigure my entire life that I thought I had so clear for the past year.
Reaching for my phone, I looked down to see two different text messages. My stomach sank when I saw who they were from. The first message was from Cayde, shocking me that he would text me off of his personal number. I stared at the old contact photo, bad memories coming back to me of Cayde blowing up my phone with every insult he could come up with.
