My head whirled as I wiped at my eyes, preventing any tears from escaping I looked straight ahead and carried my body through the hallway. I didn't dare look back at Pierce, I knew that if I did I would crumble down into a million pieces.

I was processing the words I said myself, I couldn't believe that this was it. But I knew no matter how much I may have wanted another chance at us, it would never be solved. No between Pierce's lies and betrayal. First about my mom and now he was sleeping with Mercury.

He was turning back into the person that I hated from the beginning, the boy who made my skin crawl.

I froze in my spot when I felt my phone vibrate in my back pocket. Looking around, my eyes glanced up the staircase and around my surroundings to make sure no one would be around. Taking out my phone, I expected to see my mom or Aster's contact calling me but it was an unknown number.

Furrowing my brows together, it was a Seattle number with a 206 area code. My heart dropped in my stomach, a gut feeling kicking in and telling me something was wrong- I just didn't know exactly what was wrong. Although I knew I had to answer it, I knew this wasn't just some spam number.

Biting at my bottom lip, I took one last look around before pressing the answer button and placing my phone to my ear. "Hello?" I spoke, forcing out my words underneath the shakiness of my breath.

"Jezzy."

I froze at the sound of the familiar voice, swallowing a lump in my throat as goosebumps appeared up and down the surface of my arms. My stomach became twisted in knots, instantly regretted answering the phone. I felt stuck, frozen in fear as his voice rang through my ears.

"What the hell do you want, Cayde?" I gritted the words through my clenched teeth, the picture of the video playing over and over again in my head. I could feel his haunting touch on my body, now his voice was ringing through my ears. I couldn't escape him no matter how hard I tried.

"So hostile, tsk, tsk, tsk." Cayde provoked, sucking on the front of his teeth, "Now I know your mother never told you to answer the phone like that. A simple 'Hello' would suffice...but we all know you've got some feist in you since joining Crestmont."

"How did you get my number," I demanded to know, especially after changing my phone number three times in the past year due to trying to escape the randomized calls from Cayde Matthews. Theo and Tyson got me a new phone with all kinds of blocks on it that would prevent Cayde or anyway from being able to track my cell phone.

"Word on the street is you and Gunner are broken up..." Cayde trailed off, making me stand up straight as I took in what he said. It wasn't good that Cayde had known we broke up, that would just make him more intrigued at getting back to me with Pierce out of my way now. "Lied about your mom being dead all these years... that's some fucked up shit."

"And you raping me and posting it to the internet for everyone to see isn't it?" I snapped back through the phone, desperately trying to change the subject. Cayde was cold, but I thought the coldness stopped at sending the rape tape to my own boyfriend. But there was never an end to Cayde, something always went one step further.
