"You better tell me the fucking truth, Ambrosia." Greyson stormed behind me, demanding that I tell her the details of last night. I hadn't told Greyson about Pierce and me sleeping together, but I could tell she knew. She knew from the minute I walked in as if his scent was on me.
"Or what?" I stopped in my tracks, whirling around on the edges of my heels and facing Greyson straight on. We stood in the hallway, the walls painted white and the carpet a dark navy, almost appearing to be black. I was able to skip the night without telling Greyson anything about last night but just as she promised, she had not stopped bugging me since we woke up.
I had only gotten an hour of sleep, I was up all night tossing and turning as I stared up at the ceiling. My mind had been racing lately, my anxiety eating away at me. It just felt like nothing ever stopped, it was always something. I thought about the ongoing tension between my father and me, Pierce and I had sex last night, and on top of everything Cayde's soon appearance. I also was trying to figure out who these anonymous messages had been coming from.
My number one priority right now? Get Pierce's gun and take Cayde Matthew's down. I had just two days to figure out how I was going to kill Cayde, just two days and I would end his torment.
"Or I'll go blab it to everyone at brunch." Greyson snapped back, her brown eyes moving to mine as her arms crossed over her chest. Greyson's long blonde hair was in an updo with a clip in the back that matched her sage green silk dress paired with beige heels. My hour of sleep was quickly interrupted when my alarm went off, alerting Greyson and me to get up and get ready for Phoenix and Xander's wedding brunch.
Tomorrow was the wedding, I couldn't believe it. Pierce had told me awhile ago that Phoenix and Xander had been in love since they were teenagers, although with Crestmont rules they always pushed it aside. It was refreshing to see Xander love Phoenix the way he did. To see a man not lie.
"You wouldn't dare." My eyes turned into a glare as I stared into Greyson's intimidating stance. The last thing I needed was Greyson going and telling everybody at brunch about what happened between Pierce and me last night. I don't know if it was an empty threat or not, I couldn't tell if you could even call Greyson and me friends.
"Fess up to your dirty whore actions." Greyson pushed further, making me scoff in response. "I am not a dirty whore for sleeping with my ex-boyfriend." I rolled my eyes and turned my back to her as I began walking down the hallway. I glanced down at my phone, seeing the time and how I was a minute away from being considered late.
"Ah ha!" She yelled out, tripping in her heels as she rushed to keep up with me. "You admit you slept with Pierce last night."
Stopping in my place, the two of us were at the entrance to the main dining room where there was one long table lined with the gang, my parents, Mrs. Gunner, and Reese. I scanned over the table, my eyes immediately landing on Pierce who leaned back in his seat and stared down at his phone.
