Chapter 12: Giant Pokemon!?!

As Aoi and Samurai continue, they have a new friend and buddy, Charmander to the team! But what will await them when moments later... Things happen?

"Hey, Samurai?" Aoi calls his name as Samurai looks at him while they continue walking the path,

"Hm?" Samurai is all ears,

"When do you think Vermilion City will be? We've been walking for quite some time now." Aoi admits they've been on the walk for a while.

"To be completely honest, even I don't know. Maybe if your Pidgeotto would fly maybe we'd be there by now." Samurai sasses as Gold is seen sleeping on the back of Eeveon,

"Eh... Well... I kinda used Gold a lot for battling..." Aoi chuckles slightly as Samurai sighs,

"Even my Butterfree can't handle the strong winds of the sky, they aren't built for that kind of harsh climate." Samurai sighs, as suddenly...

"?" The two stop, upon... Feeling something shift.

"Do you feel that?" Aoi wondered as Eeveon touches the ground...

"!" Everyone soon fell into a large pit that sank to the ground immediately.

"Ouch..." Aoi says as Samurai shouts,

"WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL!?! WHOEVER IS UP THERE YOU BETTER HAVE A GOOD EXPLANATION FOR THIS!" Samurai shouts as suddenly a small ground of...

"Squirtles...?" Aoi looks up and sees the ground, as they laugh,

"Squirtle Squirtle Squirtle Squirtle!" They all mock as Gold shakes itself awake from the sudden crash.

"PIDGEOT!" It shrieks in annoyance as Eeveon was knocked out cold.

"Gah... What a horrible prank!" Aoi was still annoyed as he shouts,

"Gold! Show them what you can do!" Aoi shouts from the pit, the group manages to lift themselves out as the Squirtles group together to take down the twice their size bird Pokemon.

"Hey, maybe if we're lucky we can capture these guys too!" Aoi says as Samurai shouts,

"Go, Pinsir!" He says as when the Pinsir comes out, it menacingly stares down at the group, as the Squirtle retreat immediently.

"Well, that was a bit... Odd." Aoi says as Samurai dusts off his armor,

"It isn't common to find a group of starters like Squirtle around here. They usually lay eggs on beaches until they hatch, but out here, there aren't any beaches in sight." Samurai was concerned, very concerned,

"Well starter or not, this isn't normal Pokemon behavior, they must have something in common to form a gang," Aoi says as Gold nods,

"Oh, those Squirtle?" Says none other than Officer Jenny,

"That is the Squirtle Squad, abandoned by their trainers and forming a group that terrorizes nearby towns. Pesky little ones I tell you. Their specialty is pranked trainers on their travels." Officer Jenny explained as Samurai sighed,

"Yet more Pokemon abandoned by their trainer. I swear if they didn't want their Pokemon just ask another trainer if they want it." Samurai states as Aoi looks on in confusion,

"Yeah... Why would anyone give up their Pokemon..." Aoi says as the two set up in a hotel, as Samurai lays on his bed,

"I just don't get it, if you become a trainer you should always vow to keep and treasure your Pokemon, nothing else shouldn't get in between that," Samurai says as, in shorts and a shirt, Aoi says,

"Maybe they weren't obedient like Charmander, who knows, maybe some of those trainers probably had to give them up." Aoi states as Samurai grew frustrated,
