Chapter 14: Chameleon Goes Forth!

"CHAR!!!" Cries none other than Aoi's new and improved, Charmeleon.

"Haha! You did amazing, Charmeleon!" Aoi congratulated his new and evolved Pokemon, as it grew... Eh... A bit cocky these few battles.

"Charmeleon... C'mon, dude, we can't have you being disobedient now. It'll only hurt you." Aoi suggested as Chameleon growls in annoyance, turning away because if it.

"Guess that is the risk of having such a strong Pokemon," Aoi says as Samurai sighs,

"Strong Pokemon aren't fit for trainers who can't show that they're worth it. If you want Charmeleon to obey your command, you need to be more in control of the battle than anything else." Samurai remembers the fight with the Charmander in Viridian Forest.

"When I fought that trainer, they made sure that they were in control of the battle, headstrong with their Pokemon, and in return, it shows and performs at its very best." Samurai then points at Aoi,

"You aren't are headstrong and lack the strength to even communicate with your Charmeleon! But, you did earn the badges from both gyms so I don't see the issue here..." Samurai is confused, but Aoi sighs,

"Fine. I get it, I am not strong with words. But maybe if I use Charmeleon against Lieutenant Surge... Maybe he'll know what I am made of..." Aoi suggested as Samurai nodes,

"Exactly. My Pinsir wasn't the greatest at obeying my moves, until realizing he can't beat trainers we fight today without my order." Samurai says that as an example, as Aoi smirks,

"Alright then! Chameleon, do you think you're ready for your first official gym battle!?!" Aoi wondered as Charmeleon only walks off to go to this gym.

"Chameleon..." Aoi is saddened by this...

"Is this what you want, huh? To abandon someone who cares about you?" Aoi asks if his Pokemon is as he stops... Chameleon was hit on a nerve he thought he wouldn't feel again in exchange for strength...

"Look... I know, it is hard, you were left behind by your trainer... But I won't leave you behind. Not like them." Aoi says as he walks to Charmeleon, who stands still, looking down, as Aoi crouches and puts a hand on his head,

"What do you say, Charmeleon, why not I help make things up? After I prove to you that I am not like Damian?" Aoi wondered as Charmeleon sighs, before snuggling his head in Aoi's hand as he smiles,

"I won't let you down. Not like Damian." Aoi says as Gold and Eeveon took a break and are inside their Pokeballs, so Aoi keeps Charmeleon out for this special occasion.

"..." The two look on at the gym... It has a menacing presence within and outside its walls...

"Ready, Charmeleon?" Aoi wondered as he nods, making his hand into a fist.

"Right. Let's go then." Aoi says as Samurai joins to,

"I am Aoi Lake from Pallet Town! I am here to claim the Thunder Badge from this gym! Who is in charge here!?!" Aoi says as, from the dark, three people come out. One man and woman... And a larger and bulker man,

"Hehehe... So, who is this new baby walking into my gym... Hmpf. You got some guts, especially after we fought before." Says...
