Chapter 13: Professor Oak!?!

"But... What do you mean exactly?" Aoi wondered as Bill awkwardly chuckles,

"W-Well... You see, I never experimented much with stones, much less the stones that were said to come from space... Much less a fully intact stone at that. Whoever gave this to you are very trusting people I will tell you that much!" Bill says as Aoi reluctantly says as Samurai sighs,

"Do you think we can crash then for tonight? I might like the outdoors like the next bug catcher, but I too want a nice place to sleep."

"Shrew!"

"Veon."

"Pidgeo." The Pokemon say in unison as Bill rubs his chin, before chuckling,

"Guess this will be my payment for my research then! Here, follow me to the guest rooms." Bill says, as outside and in the dark of night...

"Hehehe... The twerks are camping out in this broken-down place, eh?" Says none other than Jessie as James sighs,

"But Jessie... I am too tired for this..." James says as Jessie bonks him in the head,

"Quiet you buffoon!" Jessie growls as she sees Meowth... Sleeping!?!

"Am I the only one who is thinking about the goals of Team Rocket or what!?!" Jessie growls as she suddenly yawns, before saying in an innocent tone,

"W-Well... Maybe we do need some sleep..." Jessie says as everyone is seen sleeping...

Gold and Eeveon rest inside their Pokeballs and the two travelers sleep on two nice beds.

"..." Bill is seen upgrading Aoi's Pokedex, as he is relieved when it worked.

"Now that that is done... I need to work on this Moonstone..." Bill takes a lot of ignition in the stone... He was concerned, a bit intrigued when remembering research he did a while ago on another orb-shaped object inside a stone like this...

"... Mega Evolution... That is the glow I saw when putting the stone near the boy's Pidgeotto... Could it be... That they have a bond unlike never before...?" Bill wondered...

"..." He silently uses his hands and tools to dig the stone out... For which he will soon give his experiments to the boy... To further his research...

"A... Mega Stone and Key Stone?" Aoi is seen outside the broken lighthouse as Samurai listens to this,

"Yes. A phenomenon when trainer and Pokemon's bonds ignite an evolution beyond the final stage of a Pokemon. Use this when you and your Pidgeotto are ready. But be warned, people might see this... As a prize that is worthy to take." Bill gives Aoi a...

"A... Necklace?" Aoi grabs the gorgeous frame of wing-like frames coming out of a circle where the keystone lies...

"Yes. When the time is right, feel and release the bond to trigger the keystone." Bill suggested a necklace with an orb of a mega stone is in it, he grabs it and wraps it around Gold's neck as it lays there, waiting to be used.

"When the time is right, use it, and under no circumstances give it to anyone else. The stone is known to be from another region that I hope you visit someday..." Bill says as the two travelers are off, to meet in a brand new city...

However, along the path,

"Ah, there you are, Aoi." Says a familiar... Voice...

"Huh? That... Voice..." Aoi turns to see none other than...

"Professor Oak!?!" Aoi was a bit shocked to see him as he stands in the flesh,

"I have gotten an email from Bill, a Pokemon Professor just like me! He said about a huge discovery of a one-of-a-kind Pokemon and I just had to see it!" Oak says, looking as he crouches and sees the Eevee he caught for it to be a starter...

It looks at him and he looks at Oak... A bit nostalgic and under fairgrounds with the Pokemon Professor.

"Ah... Eevee. I see you evolved into a whole new stage of evolution. Fascinating... I knew you were special the moment I found you and Pikachu, you know." Oak rubs and pets the Pokemon's cheek and head. It affectionately responds with joy and thankfulness.

"Eeveon!" It says its name as Oak nods.

"Eeveon. Well, I must say, your coat is far more magnificent than any Flareon I have ever seen. Maybe you can join your trainer's father in competitions someday!" Oak says as Aoi awkwardly chuckles,

"W-Well... I thought of the idea... Just not now is the best time..." Aoi laughs as Oak takes an interest in Samurai,

"And you, my friend... You're the infamous trainer who fought many of my star Pokemon Trainers, am I right?" Oak wondered as Samurai stands in respect,

"Yes, I am! I fought all your trainer including Ash Ketchum and Aoi Lake! Ash and Aoi may have been amateur, but they grew far better and skilled than I am in the art of Pokemon Battles!" Samurai says as Oak pets the Sand Shrew,

"A little buddy of yours huh? Ya know, it isn't rare that people just travel with their Pokemon, it is actually a good thing and just as respectable as a Pokemon Trainer." Oak says as Samurai says again,

"My Sandshrew doesn't partake in Pokemon Battles! In fact, I have two of my trusted Pokemon fight for me! My Pinsir and Butterfree!" Samurai says as Sandshrew nods,

"Shrew."

"Oh ho ho! Well, isn't that exciting? Pinsir is a rare Pokemon, and a powerful one at that, take excellent care of it!" Oak suggested, as Samurai nodded,

"I will!" He says as Oak takes note of Aoi's and Gold's necklaces, only smirking as he says,

"Vermilion City isn't that far from here. In about a few hours tops you might even hit its entrance soon enough." Oak states as a Pidgeot soon comes out of a Pokeball of his as he mounts it,

"Oh, and Aoi," Oak says as Aoi looks up at him,

"Don't forget! Always keep a strong bond between your Pokemon!" Oak says as his Pidgeot stays flying, as Aoi looks on in inspiration...

"... I... I won't forget that, Oak!" Aoi shouts as Oak flies off Aoi shouts again,

"I won't forget!" Aoi says as his eyes shimmer with inspiration and respect...

After a few seconds... That's when their journey continues...

"C'mon, Aoi. Oak says Vermilion City isn't far. So let's get to it!" He smiles as Aoi nods.

"Right! And soon, that Gym Badge will be mine!"
