"Lennon, wake up."
I took in a deep breath, hugging my pillow closer to my body, squeezing my eyes shut tighter than before. I didn't want to wake up, I had the best dream ever: I was at Niall's house and he--
"Lennon, wake up!!"
Niall? Why was Niall here? Then I remembered, it wasn't a dream, and I had to stop myself from jumping up and screaming for joy. Niall had asked me out and the feeling I had was indescribable.
I opened my eyes to immediately see Niall's blue ones staring back at me. "Wake up!" he yelled in my face. I squeezed my eyes shut and he shook my shoulders.
I ignored him and thought about last night, every detail, and my heart was fluttering.
"Lennon," he whispered softly in my ear, "if you get up we can make breakfast."
"Okay, okay, you got me there!" I yelled opening my eyes and throwing my hands in the air. Food was my kryptonite.
I sat up on the bed and sat pretzel-style as Niall sat up across from me. I rubbed my eyes and tried to run my hand through my tangly hair.
"How was the couch?" I giggled.
"Oh just lovely," he responded, stretching his back. Niall's bed was very comfy I'll tell you that.
I hopped off the bed and walked over to a mirror observing my dark eyes and my "afro"--my hair was so poofy this morning. I checked my wrist for a hair-tie but found that I didn't have one on me so I tried to comb out some knots with my fingers to tame it. I glanced from my hair to the mirror and saw Niall smiling at me through it. I smiled back and laughed.
I realized my hair problem would not be fixed so I turned around but noticed a grey beanie sitting on the ground. I picked it up and put it on my head, turning back to the mirror. That helped a bit.
I suddenly felt a strong pair of arms wrap around my waist and pull me close. How I didn't see Niall coming up behind me as I was standing in front of a mirror was a mystery.
"Can we go eat now? I'm hungry!" he said, holding me in his strong arms.
I laughed. "Yes please!"
We raced down the stairs and came to a long hallway. I stopped short.
"I'm not really sure, Greg," I heard a woman with a thick Irish accent say.
"So Niall just shows up out of the blue to visit?" a familiar voice said. I figured it was Niall's brother.
"Why not?"
"I just think there's more to it."
I felt bad for eavesdropping but I couldn't help but stop short when I realized that Niall's mom was in the next room. I was about to meet Niall's mom. The thought made my stomach drop. I turned back to face Niall.
"Lennon, what's wrong?" he said curiously.
"I didn't even realize I was going to meet your mom," I said nervously.
"She's not going to eat you," he laughed. For some reason his laugh comforted me, that is until I noticed what I was wearing.
"Niall, I'm wearing your clothes. What is your mom going to think?" I whispered.
"Let's go!" he pushed me into the kitchen as I tried to quickly adjust the grey beanie on my head. I wanted to impress Mrs. Horan the first time I met her, I wanted to look nice, I didn't want to give her the wrong idea.
"Greg, you shouldn't be so judgmental of your brother, he--"
"Told you mom!" Greg pointed at us. Isn't he older than Niall? He wasn't acting like it.
