I fell onto my bed. I sat there for hours doing nothing but staring at the ceiling, hours. I was thinking about Niall and Zac, but mostly Niall. Why couldn't I get this boy out of my head? Why couldn't I move on? Zac was right in front of me and he was perfect and a gentleman and anything a girl could get if they're lucky, but I was still stuck in the past. Trapped.
All of the sudden, I heard my phone ding. I quickly grabbed it and looked at the text.
Emma
'How's the boy drama going?'
Emma, I needed her now more than anything. I needed to talk to her and I wanted advice and, even though I would never admit this to her, I missed her!
'Not good' I responded.
At the same time, I heard my phone ding again but this time it was from Harry.
'Why'd you rush out this morning?'
'Plans' I responded.
'Ohh. How'd that go?'
'Good but I'm broke now. No more shopping for me :( How's stuff there?'
'Boring'
'How exciting, well I'm going to bed, night Harry'
'Hey Lennon, Niall was asking about you today'
Although I was curious as to what Niall had said about me, I ignored the text and went to bed.

*DREAM ON, DREAM ON, DREAM ON, DRE--*
Wow that alarm was way too loud!! I quickly turned it off and glanced at the familiar ceiling I had been staring at last night. I then glared at my phone: 7:46, I should not be up this early!
I forced myself to get out of bed and I dragged myself to the bathroom. I brushed out my hair and put it in a tight, high ponytail. I quickly washed my face and brushed my teeth. I grabbed my mascara, applied a few coats, and walked over to my suitcase, which had clothes scattered all around it.
I picked out a black Rolling Stones sweatshirt with a pair of light blue jeggings and my Dr. Martens (that I was absolutely in love with). Lazy day, I thought, as I slowly walked out of my room.
I hurried over to Starbucks and picked up an Iced-Coffee to wake me up. I then ran back to the hotel and arrived back in the meeting room just in time for the start.
"As you all know, we are spending two months in England now, not consecutively, however," the director of the archaeology department explained. "Furthermore, we need to plan out a schedule as our first official dig will be next Wednesday, the 11th of June, and we will be selecting a small group of people to join Ms. Martin (assistant director) and myself. We will be choosing five people based off of your essays from a few months back and your overall drive to be involved. We are looking for people who excel at speaking with new people and people who are confident, as we need to be setting a standard. That is all," he said concluding.
I walked up to him as everyone quietly left the room. "Hello Mr. Chawser, my name is Lennon Giovanni. I just wanted to let you know that I am very excited to be working here and I am also quite honored. I cannot wait to get started and if you ever need any help, just let me know." I smiled and turned around to walk away. Three, two,
"Uhh, Miss Giovanni," I spun around, reforming my polite smile. "I know that Ms. Martin and I would be thrilled if you joined us on our first dig."
"That would be an honor!" I said proudly. He shook my hand, firmly, and then I walked back up to my room, up the flight of stairs.
I don't mean to sound cocky but, that works every time. He clearly stated in his spiel that he needed people that were good at talking to new people and people who are confident and I just displayed both of those characteristics. Point for me.
