"Hey!" he yelled.

"Hey Niall!"

"You home?" he asked.

"Yup. The plane ride was fine."

I looked at his face through my computer screen.

"Lennon, you just got home! Come down!" my dad yelled.

"In a minute!" I yelled back. I turned back to the computer screen. "So what are you up to?"

"Well I'm about to fall asleep. I don't know why I'm so tired."

"Well I'll go then."

"No! I want to talk to you," he smiled.

"Okay. Well,"

We talked for about twenty more minutes before we hung up.

I walked down the stairs slowly and saw my parents talking.

"I thought I told you to come right down?" Dad said. "What were you doing up there?"

"Unpacking," I lied.

"Who were you talking to?" Dad asked, eyebrows raised.

"Myself," I said.

Dad rolled his eyes, knowing I wasn't telling him the truth.

"So how was everything?" Mom asked, sounding exceptionally cheery for the situation.

"It was good," I said.

"How's Niall?"

"Good," I smiled.

Dad groaned.

"Seriously, Dad. He's my boyfriend. Please get used to it because he's not going anywhere," I said. I was surprised I had stood up to my dad like that.

"He's going to break your heart, sweetie. I don't want to see you so upset," he said.

"Be a little more positive?" Mom said to him.

I told them I was tired before grabbing a banana and walking up to bed.

'Niall and I are not going to break up,' I thought. 'I'll show him.'

It's funny how slow the next few months went being away from Niall. But soon enough, school rolled around and I was in the year, full swing. College was great. I thought high school was fun, but compared to this, it was awful. College was just a whole new experience.

Niall was so curious about it. He didn't go to college, but it seemed like he wanted to. We talked a lot, not every day, but a lot. We were both extremely busy.

I walked from my archaeology class with Loch, who happened to live in my dorm. We walked everywhere here.

"Do you need help with those?" Loch asked, referring to the three large textbooks I was carrying.

"I'm good," I replied, as we approached our dorm.

We said our goodbyes and I walked into my room. Before grabbing my laptop, I threw my books onto the bed. Opening my laptop, I saw I had three missed Skype calls from Niall. Weird. I called him immediately and after the first ring, his picture came onto my screen.

"Hey!" I yelled, excitedly.

He didn't say anything back, just ran his hand through his hair, making it more messy than it already was.

"What's wrong?"

He looked down.

"Niall, c'mon. You can tell me."
