I was finally texted the address to Connor's house by Emma. I promised her I would spend the whole day with her doing sisterly things because tomorrow, after we left Ireland, she was going back home. I planned on getting back home with Niall tomorrow so instead of taking a plane, which was the original plan, I was going to ride down with Niall to the coast of Ireland, take a ship to England, and then drive down to London. It was going to be a long trip.
"Make the next left here," I told Niall, observing the GPS on my phone, routing me to Connor's house.
Low and behold, Connor's house was sitting in the middle of block, staring at me. It turns out it wasn't even that far from Niall's house. We pulled into the driveway and we both got out of the car, Niall walking me to the door.
"I'll see you tomorrow, bright and early," he smiled goofily.
"If I can get myself up!" I groaned.
Niall placed his hand on my shoulder and looked straight into my eyes. "Please stay away from that Sean kid." I nodded. "I'm serious Lennon, I have a bad feeling about him." I thought back to the bad feeling he had about Matt, which he had been right about.
I stood on my tip-toes (so I was more his height) and tried to kiss Niall on the cheek. At the last second, however, he turned his head causing our lips to press together. I could feel him smiling into the kiss. I reluctantly pulled away and looked up into his eyes.
"Bye princess," he said, leaning down and kissing my cheek before walking to his car. I leaned against the front door and watched him drive away, waving to him. When his car was out of sight, I figured I should go back into the house, but during that thought, I fell backwards and into someone. I quickly realized that someone had opened the door and I had fallen, only to be caught by this person.
I heard a loud squeal and smiled. I brought myself back onto my feet and faced my smiling sister.
I wasn't stupid, I knew she had been eavesdropping; it was second nature to her. Whenever I was on the phone or hanging with guy friends or even when I Skyped Niall, if she was home from college, I knew she was outside my door 25% of the time, no joke. Okay maybe that was a bit of an exaggeration but the point has been made.
She grabbed my arm and pulled me upstairs, slamming our bedroom door behind us. Emma sat me on the bed and positioned herself across from me.
At first she just smiled at me, lost in her own thoughts, probably about what she just saw outside. Finally, she spoke. "You kissed Niall," she whispered.
"Yes," I said calmly, even though I could feel my cheeks burning up.
"So was that the first time you kissed him since we were in Ireland two years ago?"
"Not exactly."
"What!?" she squealed. The sight of my sister so happy for me made me both happy and annoyed. I was happy that she was excited for Niall and I, but I was annoyed because I knew that she thought that I had no chance at love until now. Thanks sis.
"Well, I stayed over Niall's last night because you never gave me Connor's address." I looked at her, annoyed.
"I figured," she waved me off.
"So you weren't concerned about where I was?"
"No. Now get on with the story!"
"Well," I started. I told her everything that had happened last night. She freaked out when I told her that he asked me to be his girlfriend and she applauded me for being flirty even though I wouldn't exactly consider my awkwardness flirty, at all.
