LENNON'S POV

I pulled my hair up into a high ponytail remembering the gross feeling of having beach hair on my shoulders, ewww. The salt water makes it so sticky and uncomfortable. The funny thing is, sometimes, when I'm bored, I can ignore that feeling and I'll pull my hair out of its ponytail and go underwater, pretending to be a mermaid. Just to clarify, I'm seventeen.

I observed myself in the full-length mirror on the bathroom door. I had on a red and blue striped bathing suit top and solid black bottoms. I pulled on a pair of paint splattered jean shorts and a pink t-shirt. I walked into the bathroom and washed my face. I observed my make-up-less complexion. I looked pretty much the same as I always do considering I never really wear much make-up. I quickly brushed my teeth and walked out to find my flip flops in my pile of clothes. I found them at the very bottom of the pile and sat on my bed putting them on.

When I checked my phone for the time, I still had over an hour. I decided to paint my toenails as they were chipping pretty badly.

By the time the pretty blue color called 'Life's a Beach' dried, I still had forty minutes. I laid on the back of the bed, mindlessly rubbing the back of my palm on my smooth cheek. Before I knew it, I had drifted off.

---------------

I shot up out of my position. Crap, how long had I been sleeping? I grabbed my phone and realized I had only been asleep for about fifteen minutes. Thank goodness. Since I only had 25 minutes until pick-up, I strolled down to the hotel lobby to pick up a hot chocolate (I'm drinking hot chocolate and about to go to the beach... I'm a special one). I sat in the little cafe, sipping my hot chocolate, when I got a text from Harry:

'Hey, we're about ten minutes away! Get excited!!'

'Haha I am. I'll meet you in the lobby!'

I finished off my hot chocolate and tossed it in the trash can. I strolled out to the lobby and sat on a comfy-looking chair that had a perfect view of the door. When I settled into it I glanced at my phone, observing the picture I set as my lock screen. I really did love that picture of us.

"Hey Lennon!"

I quickly turned my phone off and shoved it into my pocket.

"Hi Liam!" I exclaimed, walking over and giving him a hug.

He quickly pulled out of the hug and looked at me intently.

"Lennon, why are you blushing?" he said curiously. My hand flew up to my cheeks and yes, they were burning. Could looking at that picture for about a split second make me blush like that?

He gave me an omniscient look and threw his arm over my shoulder.

"So you excited to see Nialler?"

At this, I could feel my cheeks burning even more. He laughed and pulled my into a sideways hug by my shoulder.

"You'll be fine, love," he said winking, just as we reached the car.

I sat in the middle row next to Zayn, Louis was on his left, Liam was in the very back, and Niall and Harry were in the front.

I looked at Zayn quickly and groaned, "Harry's driving?"

"Dont worry Lennon, I'll protect you!" he said gallantly, ruffling my hair.

"What are we protecting Lennon from?" Louis exclaimed.

"Harry's driving!" Zayn whisper-yelled.

"Hey," Harry yelled, hitting the brakes hard causing me to practically fly forward and get suffocated by my seatbelt. "Sorry!" he yelled. I love that word with a British accent, I thought, laughing at him.
