𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐕𝐄𝐋 𝐂𝐑𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐃 under Thea's feet as she followed Carl and Dean out to the yard, towards the pigpin. The harsh sun beat down on the three. If Rick had woken them up earlier they could've gotten done with their chores before the hottest part of the day. But they didn't complain to much, they needed their sleep.
"You didn't wake us up." Carl shouted to Rick as the three got closer.
"'Cause I knew the three of you were up in Thea and Syd's cell all night reading comics with flashlights." Rick replied as he walked around the pin.
Thea leaned on the fence and eyed the big pig laying in the mud. She looked tired or sick. "What's up with Violet?" She asked, tilting her head with furrowed brows.
Rick sighed, sending the girl a look. "Thea, I told all three of you not to name them. They're not piglets anymore. They're food."
Thea found it funny how now everything was food. So his argument wasn't very good. Like they themselves was food for walkers, like every other living thing.
"We thought, you know, until. . ." Carl sighed and shook his head. "okay."
Rick looked away from the teens and looked at the pig in the corner of the pin. "I don't know what's going on with her. Could be sick, could be nothing." He then clicked his tongue a few times. "Feel better, Violet." Rick looked over at the three kids and smiled "come on, let's get to it."
