Ashton's POV

It was my normal Sunday, nearing the end of the month I decided to go out and do some grocery shopping.

I slipped on a casual sweater, some normal jeans and a beanie. I headed out with my wallet and phone in my pocket.

I lived close to the grocery store which I was rather happy about as I wouldn't be too long.

I walked in, grabbed a cart and made my way through the aisles. I saw a familiar person accompanying me in the aisle.

He was a teenager at most, slightly tall and had dirty blonde ha-

It was Luke.

He was obsessively looking at the nutrition labels of some crackers. I frowned slightly as it just looked overboard. He had a basket instead of a cart which didn't surprise me as he probably ate so little.

I saw that he had a small pack of low calorie nutrition bars, some vitamins, vegan noodles and some veggies and fruit. Nothing else, it slightly worried me.

Luke looked up and saw me, his face dropping with a hint of anger. Before I could say anything, he put a box of vegan organic crackers into his basket and hastily left.

It didn't take too long to get everything I needed. I was waiting in line to checkout my stuff when I heard two voices behind me.

"You're eating habits have changed, Luke. What's up?"

Welp, was not expecting to run into Luke again.

I heard him softly chuckle.

"Just wanna be healthier.."

"Well that's good."

The voice that paired with him sounded deeper but the accent stayed. I assumed it was a friend or his brother as they sounded young.

It was my turn in line and I turned to put my stuff on the counter before I heard,

"Hey, wait. Isn't that your teacher?"

The guy accompanying Luke spoke. Luke let out a sigh and nodded. I just softly smiled at the two before paying for my items.

"He's nice.. I like him."

I heard Luke say before I grabbed my bags. I gave him a smile that I hoped would reassure him that I'm always here and left.

He seemed so tense when anyone spoke about his habits. He seemed in denial like he wasn't sick and that's what was truly worrying to me.
