Ashton's POV

The day had ended and everyone was packing their stuff at the end of Health Class. I kept my eyes on Luke as he kept stumbling and holding on to his desk.

It was the one moment I looked down at my paper when I heard someone fall. I felt my stomach sink when I heard Michael's scream,

"Luke?!"

I sprung out of my seat and ran over to the boy he laid on the floor. I checked his neck and luckily there was still a pulse.

It barely took a minute before Luke opened his eyes again.

"What happened?"

He whimpered out, picking himself up. Before I even got to speak, Michael was yelling.

"You fainted! You just collapsed!"

"I'm okay.. I think I moved my head or stood up too fast. I promise I'm alright.."

Luke smiled at me to which I didn't believe a word he said.

"Luke, It's normal to get dizzy from those things but not full on fainting.. Something is definitely wrong."

He looked at me with the same fury filled gaze he had given me any time I brought up the possibility of something wrong to him.

"I'm fine. Drop it."

He spoke sternly before packing up the rest of his stuff quickly and leaving the room in a dash.

Michael left with him, looking at me with a pleading look before heading out the door.

Maybe he was silently asking for me to help him but I had no idea what to do. I could easily help Luke if he truly wanted it but seeing as he's in a state of denial, there was little to nothing I could say to make him think otherwise.
