^^Yeira
Yeira's POV
I carried Acacia to a rundown diner. She looked disgusted at the interior and the clientele. I placed her in a booth and signaled for the waitress to get us food.
"So would you just say that you're incredibly reckless?" She asked with an edge to her voice.
"I try not to be predictable." I winked.
"Well, it's predictable that you're reckless and careless and-"
Acacia was interrupted by the waitress slamming a plate of sludge before us. The waitress left as I pushed the plate closer to Acacia. She held in a gag and averted her eyes. I'll admit that the smell was questionable.
"You need all the strength you can get, princess." I smirked.
"Why aren't you drinking their filthy blood?" She fired back, causing me to frown. "That's what I thought. The moment you consume their blood, I'll eat this pile of filth." She pushed it closer to me. "What's your brilliant plan?"
"That was just a setback. I'll think of something new."
"How are you so calm and collected when all your plans go to shit?!"
"Not everything works out perfectly, so you just need to adapt." I shrugged and stood.
"Where are you going?"
"I spotted someone and will be right back."
I ignored Acacia's protests and left the restaurant. I spotted the shady figure and approached the dealer. I didn't have any money and was desperate, so I killed the demon and raided his stash. I popped a few pills of adderall and grabbed the bag of coke. I swiftly walked to the rundown bathroom and snorted nearly half the bag. I collapsed onto the ground as my mind drifted to Hana. I felt like I've failed her for how pathetic and long I've taken to find her.
I wasn't the best at showing emotion, so it felt like my world was beginning to crash down. Perhaps, I should be speaking with Dr. Linda, but I'm trying not to have any outside contact. If I have outside contact, there's a risk that my family could intercept it and demand I return. Then, I'd have to explain that Acacia is actually alive and that would complicate things.
I didn't realize I was crying until my vision blurred. Actually... I touched my cheeks and didn't feel anything wet. Ahhh, so I'm not crying... it's just the drugs are blurring my vision. My wobbly hand managed to find a few scattered pills on the ground. I grabbed a fistful of them and dry swallowed the drugs. I gritted my teeth since it was incredibly difficult to push myself up. I managed to pull myself up via the sink.
I searched my pockets and found the meth. I grabbed the powder, only to fall back down. My face landed next to the pile of cocaine. I sniffled more and felt my body go numb. My heart felt like it was in overdrive and threatening to explode.
"YEIRA!" The door was slammed open. "Oh my god! What happened?! Are you okay?!" Acacia dashed to my side. "Your pulse is slowing! Yeira, you've got to help me! I don't know what to do!" She began to panic.
My vision was hazy and I could barely make out her features. Through my drug infused state, Acacia's features shifted to Hana's. I lazily smiled and used my finger to trace the outline of Hana's features. She furrowed her brows, but I was ecstatic to see her.
I found the energy to sit up and crash our lips together. Hana began squirming in my hold to try and free herself, but I kept a firm grip on her. I loved this girl so much and really missed her. I wrapped my arms around her and cried into the woman I loved. Hana's arms hesitantly wrapped around me.
