Yeira's POV

Acacia and I managed to find street vendors selling cloaks and other distressed looking items. I stole a few articles of clothing and had Acacia follow me into an alley. She dressed in the clothes while I also changed my outfit to fit in better. I then spotted a dingy looking bar, so I dragged her inside. I signaled for the bartender to give us 2 drinks. Acacia and I found a table in the back of the dive bar.

I nodded when a waitress slammed the mugs on the table before leaving. I picked up the mug and sipped the alcohol while Acacia gagged when sniffing the drink.

"Sorry it's not expensive." I smirked.

"Explain what the fuck is going on." She demanded. "Why am I here and why'd you kill me?"

"The correct term is that I almost killed you, drama queen." I rolled my eyes. "And it's complicated." I sighed.

"Good thing we're not in a rush." She gestured to the grimy atmosphere of the place. "So speak."

"Okay, so you know how Hana was taken?" Acacia nodded at my question "A few days later, Addison visited me and demanded I bring your dead body in exchange for Hana."

"What-"

"And I was going to do it, Acacia." I ran a hand through my hair. "I knew it was wrong, but... I'd have done anything to get her back. I slashed you with the intention of killing you. I watched you thrash around as the panic set into your eyes and... I couldn't follow through with it." I looked down. "I couldn't take away my sister's girl and my best friend's sister."

"Why not wait and tell people? Why do this all by yourself?"

"There isn't much time. I don't know what she's doing to Hana. Addison gave me a pocket portal that had the capability of bypassing the closed gates in Hell. I was going to transport us there, but I couldn't bring you to your death. So I brought you to the dark realm instead with the intention of healing you-"

"By bringing me to a murder hospital?" She glared.

"That was to help increase your vitals and give you much needed rest." I rolled my eyes and motioned for the waitress to bring us food.

"You drove your nails across my neck and watched me choke on my blood." Acacia sneered. "I felt Zena's fear and that was sickening."

"Alright. Alright." I rolled my eyes. "The point is that I need your help."

"Like hell." Acacia scoffed.

"It's either going to go one of two ways... you help me find Hana or I'll kill you and take your lifeless body to Addison. It's your choice." I then smiled at the waitress who placed plates of strange meat before us. "Eat up." I gave Acacia a mocking smile.

"This is a suicide mission."

"You were dead either way, so..." I sipped my beer. "You see that in the distance?" I pointed outside to an orangey hazy barrier in the distance. "That's the way to Hell. However, the gates are closed and there's no way to enter, so we need to find an alternative into that sullen place."

"Why does she want me dead?" Acacia stared at the border.

"To make Zena feel the same way she felt when she lost Kikimora?" Acacia turned back to me. "She most likely plans to eliminate our mates, so we understand the pain."

"She acts as if we didn't try. How could we properly help when she closed the borders and banned any contact with outsiders? She signed her own solitary confinement battle."

"You're more than welcome to tell her that when we find her." I snarked.

"Listen, I understand that you want Hana back. I understand what she means to you because it's the same way I feel about Zena-"
