^^Zena
Zena's POV
Eris and I walked through the different side streets to reach our destination. The pendant would shift in direction and practically lead us towards my Acacia. Eris and I slowed and then furrowed our brows at the site before us. Eris gulped and sent me a nervous glance. I slowly breathed out and faced forward.
Ahead of us stood a massive opening between two concrete slabs. Eris and I looked to our lefts to see that the maze went on for practically eternity. The walls were around 10 meters high. I assume Eris and I arrived at the maze's entrance... to Hell.
"Of course, my sister would be in the fucking maze." Eris groaned.
"What do you know about the maze?"
"Absolutely nothing." She sighed. "I've heard about it, but have never seen a survivor of it." She shivered.
"Let's go." I gulped and stepped forward.
Eris stayed close behind me as we hesitantly entered the maze. I stared at the floating anchor that guided us towards Acacia. We neared the end of the path, so the anchor turned right. We turned the corner and walked, only to stop when the anchor turned around. I stared at the object in confusion, but turned around. I followed the anchor down the pathway, until it turned left. Eris and I turned left and walked a few feet, but the anchor turned around again.
"Are you reading it properly?" Irritation laced Eris' voice.
"I am!" I snapped.
The anchor then spun around again. Eris and I cocked our brows as the anchor kept spinning. Eris gasped and then shook my arm. She pointed in the distance to reveal the path shifting. I looked around and noticed that the turn we had previously taken had also shifted. It seemed that the current path we occupied wouldn't shift, but the other paths would shift. Eris and I sprinted down the path and turned the corner. The path we had taken then shifted. What the fuck?!
"Well, that won't be useful anymore." Eris grabbed the pendant.
"I don't get it. How are the paths continuously changing?!"
"It's a maze. I guess that this is also a moving maze. No wonder the people who enter are forever lost. You can't find your way back."
"How am I supposed to find her?!" I distraughtly asked. "I have her scent, but can't get close to her with these changing paths. One turn brings me closer and then the next takes me farther back."
"We'll get my sister back." Eris stated. "Just don't know where to go."
Eris encouraged me to track Acacia's scent to the best of my capabilities. I sighed, but reluctantly agreed to her suggestion. Eris and I walked down a path and saw that the concrete walls transitioned into hedge walls. We turned a corner and watched as the concrete path shifted to more hedges.
I drifted close to the wall and went to touch a pretty flower, when Eris grabbed my wrist. She flung my hand away from it and gave me a stern look.
"Those flowers are poisonous. Be careful not to touch anything, okay?" I nodded at her.
"How do you know which flowers are poisonous?" I walked next to her.
"It's hard to explain, but I just know. I can feel the poison wafting off the flowers." She shrugged.
"That's impressive." I then thought for a moment. "You raped me."
"I remember clearly. I received hell from Acacia when she found out."
"As you should." I rolled my eyes. "My reason for bringing that up is because I have a question for you." She raised a brow at me. "How come-"
"Your juices are slightly sweeter than Yeira's, but that's probably due to different diets. Though, Yeira is amazing in bed-"
