Yeira's POV
I was slammed into the ground and choked. I grabbed my opponent's wrists and kicked him over me. The person swiftly got up, but I was faster. I raced behind him and got on his back. He backed me into the wall, making me grunt. I was then thrown over his shoulder, but landed on my feet. He raced to me, but I sidestepped him. I then punched him in the back, making him stumble forward. I then raced in front of him and kicked him down.
I didn't waste a second and kneeled behind him. I put him in a headlock and searched Saskia's eyes for a command. She held her hand up and then pointed her thumb at the ground. Without a second thought, I tore his head off. I stood and bowed as his lifeless body flopped onto the ground.
"You were slow." Saskia spoke. I received a hit from her. "You didn't watch your blind spot." She slapped me again. "And he managed to throw you off." She kicked me down. "Do better." She sneered.
"Yes, mistress." I wiped the blood from my nose.
"The humans in the dungeons... take care of them." She dismissed me.
I bowed my head and left to complete her request. I hastily made my way through the halls and down the stairwell. The humans screamed in fear as I approached them. I smirked and began to torture the innocent humans. Most wished for death, but there was no fun in that.
I broke a virgin's arm and sniffed along her neck. She shook in fear and begged for me not to violate her, but I didn't care. I was about to ravage her, when an innate voice stopped me. I remembered Hana telling me that what I did was heinous, but as long as I understand that... I can try to search for forgiveness and put the past behind me. I shot back with a start and stared at the terrified girl.
"Forgive me. I didn't-" I stopped at seeing her bloodied and bruised. "No! I didn't touch you! I stopped-"
"You did this with so many others." She began to lie down.
"No! You're safe! I didn't harm you! Don't die!" Her breaths became slower. "No! I'm trying to save you!" I bit my wrist and poured blood down her throat. "Why isn't it working?! Heal! Why aren't you healing?!"
I screamed at seeing the lifeless body in my arms. I held her close and wept for the pain she endured by my hand. I'm sorry! I'm so sorry! I then dropped her body and ran out the door, only to arrive at a clearing. I looked around in confusion, but saw maman being bound by chains.
No! I ran to save her, but the invisible barrier kept me out. Everyone looked at me as I helplessly banged on the barrier. I stared at my mother, the woman who I betrayed for my own agenda. She knew she was walking into a trap, but only did it to protect me. I cried and begged Saskia not to hurt her, but Saskia punched maman with silver knuckles.
I cried as maman was abused and struggling to breathe. Guards held me back as I thrashed around. Saskia held maman's face while dragging a nail across her throat. Maman squeezed her eyes closed and tried not to whimper, so I wouldn't know how much pain she was truly enduring. Saskia then leaned forward and bit maman.
Maman cried out as the venom entered her veins. I cried and struggled to free myself, but they had a firm hold. Saskia kicked maman in the face and mocked me. She claimed maman wasn't fighting back because she knew that Saskia would kill me if maman put up a fight. Maman weakly smiled at me while Saskia plucked out her heart.
I shrieked in pain at seeing black veins decorate maman's body. I fell to the ground and begged Saskia to spare her, but Saskia lit maman's body on fire. I squeezed the grass and screamed as her body went up in smoke. I was hyperventilating as the scent from maman's burnt corpse invaded my nose.
